Chocolate Oranges In The Morning

Confession time, I've never really been a moisturiserer. Body or face, I just tend to skip it out of my otherwise rigorous routine, thinking I was doing just fine without it. My skin sits right in the normal category these days, it's not oily or dry, so I never really felt like it was something I needed in my routine. I was so so wrong. 

When Origins announced this little release, I was not one of the hoards of beauty bloggers counting down the days, and wracking up purchases in Boots to get enough points to 'justify' picking it up. In fact, the launch came and went without bringing much attention from me. Then a couple of months back I walked past the stand and saw a tester at work, and thought I'd have a little look. 

I'll be totally honest, I bought it because it smelt nice, so thank god it works a treat too. This stuff genuinely smells like a cross between orange sherbert and chocolate oranges, and it's pretty strong. I really like it, and I use it in the mornings, so I find it really helps to wake me up!

It's pretty unlike your average moisturiser, it's not rich or creamy, and it's not thick. Instead it's a lightweight formula, that feels almost gel like in texture. It's lightness means a little goes a long way, and it sinks into your skin quickly and easily, without leaving it feeling greasy or tacky, and you can apply your makeup immediately after. No more waiting around! 

And as for what it's done for my skin? Well aside from the fact I'm sure I've had less little spots since I've been using this, my skin looks brighter and more radiant, plumper and generally healthier. I honestly didn't know what I was missing!

Now I just need to find my perfect evening moisturiser!
