What's On My Bedside Table?

I've seen this tag floating around the blogosphere for a while, and I was tagged ages ago, but never did it, since I wasn't really happy with my set up then. I'm living in Student Halls this year so nothing is really how I like it, but I've finally set a few bits up how I like them so I thought I'd share with you!

My bedside table is really small, with one drawer and a cupboard. I keep my pyjamas in the cupboard underneath, and my Soap and Glory Endless Glove, diary and spare charger cables in the drawer, nothing photo worthy! I have no idea where the unit's from, but I'd hazard a guess at Ikea! My lamp came from Dunelm Mill, I think it was under a tenner and I lurrrrrve it. It's velvety and wonderful.

I always have a candle burning on my bedside table, in the winter it's usually my cakey Yankee Candle ones, or something Vanilla, but at the moment I'm burning a strawberry Skittles one! I have this weird piece of wood with my favourite Banksy print on it, which I picked up at Camden Market for around four pounds. My mum bought me the coaster, so I don't know where that's from, but it's usually got a big ol' teacup full of green tea on it.

I'm a total bookworm, and I like to keep a chick-lit book around for reading in the evening before bed, something lighthearted! I keep the crime dramas for the tube! I've just started this Marian Keyes one! I keep this little Tenues notepad by my bed for late night musings and list writing.

I admire those people who keep technology out of their bedrooms, but I am not one of those people! I keep my iPad mini on my bedside table, so that I can sit in bed and catch up on some blog reading. I also keep my iPod there, since I can't fall asleep without music!

The reed diffuser is this one from The Body Shop. I got it for Christmas and it's still going! It's got a gorgeous vanilla scent, and keeps my room smelling fresh. Since my flat is a studio, I can generally smell what I cooked for dinner from my bed! This helps sort that out! The little china dish was from Urban Outfitters, I use it to store jewellery I forget to take off!

In this cute Ikea plant pot I store the things I often reach for when I can't be bothered to get out of bed. The L'Oreal Micellar Water lives here, for when I'm too lazy to properly Bioderma, Cleanse, Tone and Moisturiser. It's also home to my Caudalie Beauty Elixir, which helps me sleep, wakes me up and cools me down. I always keep a body cream on my bedside table, at the moment I'm trying to use up this Rituals Cherry Blossom and Rice Milk one, since I've kind of gone off the smell! This is also home to my Body Shop Pillow Spray, and my tablets, and a nail file!

This acrylic unit is from Muji and keeps all the little bits of clutter organised. On the top shelf I keep a lip balm (currently LOVING this Blistex Moisture Max one, it's amazing!) a lighter for my candles, my favourite night cream and my watch when I remember to take it off (Marc by Marc Jacobs, if you're interested!).  On the second shelf lives my serum, some Witch Hazel for any breakouts, and also my new Nip and Fab spot treatment that I'm trying out. In the section on the right is my Nytol, essential for an insomniac like me! Bottom shelf is home to headphones and some cotton pads, and then under the unit my Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub. Between the unit and the plant pot I keep the dream dictionary my Mum bought me, which makes for some hilarious morning reading since I always have the most bizarre dreams.

So that's my bedside table! Hope you enjoyed this slightly different post! And I tag everyone! But in particular these two;

  3. That's an interresting tag! I love Marian Keyes, which one is this one? I haven't read anything from her in ages! I also have a dream dictionnary, but I don't like mine, its too much psychanalyst crap!

  4. This one is Brightest Star in the Sky, which actually I didn't love! First book I've read of hers that hasn't really grabbed me, I normally love them! :(
