A Starbucks Mug Addiction/Collection

Let's talk about a little problem I have. Mugs. I can't stop buying them. I hoard them. I collect them. I obsess over them. I don't even use them that much, I just really freaking love them.

It got so bad, that last year Con and I nearly broke up over the fact our one bedroom apartment had forty seven mugs. In the interest of saving our relationship, it was decided that I would get rid of all my mugs, except the Starbucks ones.

And now, if I want to buy a mug, it can only be a Starbucks one. It's the closest thing we have to a matching set.

Since we're entering the season of tea and hot chocolate and pumpkin spice lattes and hot apple cider, I thought I'd show you what remains, in case you need a little Instagram #cupsinframe inspo. And so here we have my babies.

The perfect size and shape for coffee, dressed with syrup, mixed with hot steamy milk, and dusted with cinnamon. Is it really a latte if it's not in a mug like this? Con bought the stone and gold mug for me last year as a little 'thanks for putting up with me' present, and I just fell in love with it. The gold chevron mug I had to pick up after my wonderful friend Carrie sent me a picture of it via whatsapp - she's such an enabler! I can't resist anything gold. I then picked Connor up the white traditional mug in a Christmas gift set after getting annoyed at him pinching mine!

I got a little carried away in the post Christmas sale, and picked up the red snowflake and green antler numbers. Connor approved these because he liked the antler handle on the green mug, and I have to admit to being slightly partial to it too! They're the perfect size for our morning cup of coffee, or for tea and biscuits in the afternoon!

The little black and white mug was one of the first Starbucks mugs I bought, and whilst I don't use it much anymore (it's a little small for me) I can't bring myself to throw it out! I love the shape of it, it's perfect for cupping in a cosy fashion, and it often gets pulled out this time of year for hot chocolate. Underneath is a mug from the Covent Garden Starbucks Reserve. I don't use it much because it gets WAY too hot, but I love the shape and how it looks.

I've been banned (for now) from starting a city mug collection, we just haven't had the space for it, but an exception was made for these two limited edition city mugs. The black and white Paris mug I picked up on my day trip with Allie in March, whilst the gold London Christmas mug I picked up nearly two years ago in Kings Cross with Daphne, as a little Christmas present to myself. These are perfect for tea on a slow weekday morning.

And last but not least, the miscellaneous. The giant traditional mug I picked up from the very first Starbucks in Pike Place Seattle, perfect for hot soup on a cold autumn day. The little gold stacking cup that I love for my morning cup of coffee. The little white espresso shot that Con loves for his late night caffeine fix.

So yeah. I have a problem. And I still want more!
