It's a slow process, but it does seem to be getting cooler round these parts. As far as I'm concerned, Autumn can't come soon enough, but it has been nice to have a few warmer days. Still, it felt like time to make a few skincare switches, to make sure my skin is feeling good.
I wanted to switch my gel based cleanser out for something a little richer and creamier, since the cooler weather has my skin teetering on the edge of dryness. Now stay with me a sec because I know Lush Kalamazoo is marketed as a beard wash, but the sales assistant in Lush recommended this for a good combo of hydration, and also radiance. It contains pineapple enzymes that help boost brightness in the skin, and I've actually really been loving it. It's soft and hydrating, and keeps my skin looking bright, healthy and supple.
I've also pulled the Lush Tea Tree Water in to use as a toner, as my La Roche Posay Serozinc was getting a little drying. I love this for keeping spots at bay, but it's also really gentle on the skin.
I always use an eye cream in the evening, but my dark circles have been hella terrible recently so I've also pulled one out for mornings. I'm loving the First Aid Beauty Triple Eye Duty Remedy again, I recently got a new tube and have fallen in love with it all over again. It's got a really hydrating formula, and the peachy shade helps neutralise dark circles. And really, when you're still half asleep, there's nothing better than the cooling applicator.
I've been getting through the Kiehls Cilantro and Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Mask at a rapid rate of knots because I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's creamy and hydrating, and it keeps my skin feeling healthy and not at all congested. It also tastes really good. I'm aware I'm not supposed to eat it.
I've also added a lip balm back into my daily rotation because my lips have been super dry again. I can't get enough of the Nuxe Reve de Miel in any form, but I love the stick for keeping in my bag for on the go. Practical, but also super hydrating.
