Sundays in Shoreditch

Last month, my lovely lady Tami came to visit me in London, and we used it as an opportunity to explore East London, as she's never been before! We decided to make it a full on girls day, and in all honesty, it was one of the best days I've had in a long time.

We met at Marylebone and made the pilgrimage to Liverpool Street together. First stop was of course Anthropologie, because who doesn't need to drool over beautiful things? A nip into Cos and a swing by the Urban Decay Boutique bought us out in Spitalfields Market, where I took Tami into one of my favourite magazine shops. This was obviously a bad idea because we both left with a stack of new magazines!

As we were wandering past the the Old Truman Brewery we realised that there was an All Saints Sample Sale on - and I mean, it would have been rude not to pop in right? I ended up bagging the bargain of the century, these gorgeous heeled sandals for £30 down from £200! I'm so in love with them it's kinda crazy.

At this point we were running late for our nail appointment, so we picked up a quick juice from Brick Lane Market (Watermelon and Pineapple), and headed up to Barber and Parlour on Redchurch Street.

We headed upstairs to the Cheeky Nail Parlour where we were both booked in for a Cheeky Works Manicure, and it turned out to be perfect timing as the rain started coming down shortly after we arrived!

The salon is nothing short of gorgeous, and the staff were great. The manicure was lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed the hand massage part, but it wasn't quite the full 45 minutes we paid for. The staff were so lovely, just the right amount of chatty, but totally happy for Tami and I to gab away! Either way, it was definitely worth the £25 price tag, and I really enjoyed the chill pamper time with Tami!

Manicures done, we had a quick peruse of Columbia Road Flower Market, where I picked up some fresh blooms and a lemon balm fern, before lunch!

East London has a wealth of amazing restaurants, but since neither of us had been before, we couldn't resist trying Dishoom.

Unfortunately due to bad lighting all my photos of the food looked like they were shot on a potato but Oh. My. Word. If you get the chance to go to Dishoom, go. The food is incredible, honestly some of the best I've ever tried. We shared veggie samosas, cheese naan, Gunpowder Potatoes & Murgh Malai. It was all totally incredible, and I can't wait to go back.

We finished off the day with full bellies, perusing some of the stores around Dishoom. We loved Maste and O'Dells, and Labour and wait too. By this point we had walked so far that we were totally pooped, so we made our way back to Marylebone station!

The perfect day spent with one of my best friends, I couldn't have asked for a better Sunday!

Are you a fan of East London?
