I'm justifying this mini haul here by saying on the day I bought all this, I really didn't feel well, and I was trying to cheer myself up. Also, I didn't actually buy anything expensive, so that makes it okay, right? Either way, I haven't done a haul post in a while, so I thought I'd show you a few things I picked up on a dreary day in Bournemouth with my little sister!
First up was a little trip to Primark. I've been after some cheap sunnies to keep in my car for rare bursts of sun, since it makes no sense for me to carry my Oakleys around all time, when really I only need them when I'm driving. So my sister persuaded me to pick up these Ray-Ban-esque ones for a measly £2. They do the job! I talked about these slippers in my March Non Beauty Favourites, and they were only three pounds! Also three pounds was this triangle necklace, I wanted a similar one from Topshop, but didn't really want to part with the best part of £20 for it. My only gripe with this is that the chain is a little small. I've been after a new purse for a while, since the one I was using wasn't long enough for notes, you had to fold them up. Until I can afford the Miu Miu I've had my eye on, this £5 jobbie will do the trick nicely! It's a super pretty colour for spring too!
In a hopeful moment that one day in the not too distant future, it might actually be warm enough to wear a cropped top, I picked up this comic print one for £4. I'm not massive on the whole comic book trend, but I do like the idea of pairing this with a pair of red skinnies, or my high waisted shorts and leather jacket. Another 'spring' pick, I bought the peach version of this thin knitted jumperytop thingymabob a few weeks ago, and loved it, so I bought it in this blue colour too. My lovely nan told me I wear too many dark clothes, so I'm trying! I think these are six pounds, and I'm definitely gonna pick up a couple more, they're great!
Onto the beauty stuff! I finally picked up the Hask Argan Oil that is at every Primark til in the country. I'm really enjoying mixing this into my conditioner for a little extra nourishment, and it smells lovely! A little goes a long way too, I've probably used it seven or eight times and I'm not halfway through.
Then it was on to Superdrug. The Superdrug in Bournemouth has a massive Look Beauty counter, which you don't get everywhere, so I ummed and ahhed before picking up this blush in the shade Sculpt. It's a beautiful natural colour, somewhat reminiscent of MAC's Warm Soul on my skin, and was only £8. Full review coming soon, but so far I love this, and the packaging is gorgeous!
I also finally got my hands on the MUA Undress Your Skin shimmer highlighter, it's still at it's introductory price of £2, and it's been sold out everywhere. It is a nice highlighter, but I think it might be a little too glittery for me.
I wanted to pick up the Sleek contour kit but as always, it was sold out, so I settled for a Pout Polish. I stupidly picked up a shade pretty similar to my Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge, but it's a lovely colour and super conditioning on the lip!
Then it was on to Boots, where yet again I was seduced by the three for two offer, and picked up the Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil, Essie Chinchilly and another Revlon Just Bitten balm in Honey. All three are really good products, expect full reviews soon!
Finally, I picked up a Boots Botanics Facial Brush, which is basically the manual version of a Clarasonic, and I quite like it. Can't complain about the six pound price tag either.
The sad thing is, this isn't even half of what I've bought in the last few weeks, so you'll definitely be seeing a lot of new products on the blog in the coming weeks!
Great haul! I love love love that hair oil, it's pretty amazing for the prize. I also love the Look blushes, they're such gorgeous shades xx
ReplyDeleteI love everything you picked up! It is totally ok to have bought this considering you were having a bad day. I do it as well!
ReplyDeleteI have the triangle necklace but in Silver also from primark! I love it although some of the links pinch a bit :( I have (and love) the MUA highlighter too. Perhaps you could try mixing a bit on the back of your hand with foundation using a brush before applying for a more subtle highlighter? Great post xJanuary Girl
