Empties! #1

I don't think there's a better reason to start culling the beauty stash and using up a few products than moving. It's been the kick start I need to use up some products and strip back my beauty box(es) to a more manageable size. I also didn't realise (until I started looking) how many open and abandoned products I had lurking around in the bottom of my drawers! So here are the products I've used up in the last six weeks!

Hair

Lush Retread and Blousey*

I liked these, but I wasn't overwhelmed. I didn't really get on with the smell, and whilst they worked, that was really all they did. I much prefer my new Lush shampoo bar! I'd like to try Big from Lush too.

Will I repurchase? Probably not.

Herbal Essences Ignite My Colour Mask

It took me a while to use this, because just after I started using it (I found it in the back of my stash) I had all my hair cut off and there was no dye left. It's nice as a conditioner alternative though, since it's super thick!

Will I repurchase? Yes, if I ever dye my hair again

Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Masque

I absolutely loved this mask, it totally helped save my hair from it's limp, lifeless, damaged state! It smells pretty clinical, but who cares when it works a treat?

Will I repurchase? Already have!

Lee Stafford For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length

I loved this mask too! Let's get one thing straight, it does not make your hair grow, it plies your hair with nutrients and nourishes it into it's optimum growing conditions. Smells great, lasts ages and works a treat.

Will I repurchase? Already have!

John Freida Full Repair Shampoo*

Urgh, so glad to be done with this one, I thought it would never end. I feel so bad because this was sent to me to review, but I just really didn't like it. It didn't help my hair at all, it was runnier than my normal conditioner, it smelt bad, I just really didn't like it. I still have the conditioner of this kicking about in my shower because that won't die either, but to be honest I'm just going to chuck it, I really didn't enjoy using this! If you're looking for something that works, try BedHead's Urban Antidotes Resurrection Range, I loved that!

Will I repurchase? Not in this lifetime.

Aussie Three Minute Miracle Colour Treatment

I don't have a bad word to say about this. Smells incredible, super moisturising, kept my hair shiny and my colour looking good (I used most of this whilst my hair was still coloured, and the ends up last week!) I love all the Aussie products I've tried and this is no exception.

Will I repurchase? Yes, if I colour my hair again.

Face, Makeup & Samples

Nivea In Shower Skin Conditioner*

This sample wasn't really enough to tell, but I've bought it and I love it! You can read my full review here.

Will I repurchase? Already have!

Montagne Jeuness Chocolat Blanc Face Mask*

A nice lazy evening treat but I don't really feel like it did much for my skin. Quite moisturising, and nice for a girly evening in, plus it's only a pound, but no major skincare benefits.

Would I repurchase? Maybe, if I was going away or wanted something quick.

Maybelline Stay 24/7 Gel Topcoat

Not majorly impressive. I bought it when I ran out of Seche Vite and didn't want to buy it again. But it takes a long time to dry on the nails, and I found that the brush would set mid-way through painting.

Would I repurchase? No.

Max Factor Gel Liner

My favourite lid liner. Getting rid of this one because it dried out (I have had it a year though!) but it's better than the Bobbi Brown equivalent and on a par with MAC's Blacktrack.

Would I repurchase? Already have!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

One of, if not my favourite setting powder. Cheap and cheerful, smells like grannies, but does a great job. Possible contenders are the Bourjois powder and S&G One Heck Of A Blot, but nothing beats the £3.99 price tag.

Would I repurchase? I still have two going in my stash, but after that, yes!

L'Oreal Super Liner

I didn't really get much of a chance to try this out, because the packaging was crap and broke a few weeks after I got it, making it dry out almost instantly, but from what I tried I really liked it.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but probably not unless it was on offer.

Benefit They're Real*

It was love, and then it wasn't. I feel like this mascara is really good for a week, and then a bit meh. I'm not a fan of plastic brushes, I do prefer a natural bristle. To be honest, it's a lot of money just to have nice lashes for a week.

Would I repurchase? No.

Lush Let The Good Times Roll

Sob...Let's have a moment here for our fallen friends, the ones that get so cruelly discontinued. This is the best cleanser I have ever used hands down, I was so sad to use this up. I've been told they may be bringing it back at christmas so I've got everything crossed!

Would I repurchase? In a heartbeat.

Montagne Jeuness Apricot Scrub Mask*

I'd never used an exfoliating mask before, but I quite enjoyed it. My skin felt super clean after this and I adore the smell.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Kleenex Facial Cloths

Ohhhh my god I love these. I've actually gotten through like three boxes recently. So much better than your average cotton pads, I can do Bioderma, cleanser and toner in one fell swoop with these. They're pretty pricey generally, but I spotted them in Poundland last week and stocked up!

Would I repurchase? Yes, and I already have.

I've just realised this is getting a little long, so Part two will be on it's way next week!

Ciaté Corrupted Neon Manicure

A few weeks back now, I was invited by the lovely ladies at Ciaté down to the Selfridges beauty hall to try out their new Corrupted Neon Manicure. Of course, being the sort of person who is absolutely terrible at painting their nails, I jumped at the chance.

The new Corrupted Neon set is a three part kit that is designed to give you awesome looking nails, with incredible ease. I've never been any good at nail art, so this automatically appeals to me as it's a super easy way to get exciting looking nails without loads of fuss. It contains a nail colour, a matching glitter, and a neon topcoat, which makes your nails glow under a blacklight (pretty cool, huh?).

On the day, the girls tried out the coral set on me, and they gave me the pink set to take home and play with, and it really is super easy. I just put one coat of colour on each nail, and then when I do the second coat, pour glitter onto any nails that I'd like to have sparkle whilst the paint is still wet. I didn't put the top coat over the glitter, as I found it kind of dulled down the sparkle, but they last pretty well anyway.

Ciaté is a brand I often overlook when nail polish shopping, and I'm not really sure why, since I have quite a few of their polishes, and they are all excellent quality. I'm definitely going to look a little closer in the future!

In terms of quick and easy, fun looking manicure kits, there's no one quite like them!

What do you think of the neon nails look?

*Corrupted Neon Manicure kit was gifted to me by Ciaté

Pass The Specs

So, hands up, how many of you knew I wear glasses? None of you, I'll bet. I don't wear them often, just at Uni, and when I'm driving, but I'm pretty forgetful with them, since I've never really found a pair that flatter my face.

So a couple of months back I had the pleasure of attending a Gorkana blogging networking event, for bloggers and PRs at House of Rush. Aside from enjoying a few glasses of champers, some tasty canapes and having my hair styled, I also got to meet the lovely Emma from Specsavers, and she recently got in touch to ask if I wanted to get involved in their Pass The Specs campaign.

She sent me this lovely pair of John Rocha frames, with gorgeous pink and gold detailing on the side, and I was surprised at how, well, normal, I look in them, not geeky, like my head was sure.

Specsavers have a great range of frames to suit every face shape, so if you're in need of a new pair, be sure to take a look!

Check out my friend Melisa modelling these exact specs over here

The Weekly Roundup #19

Pretty flowers in the garden // Finally bought this! // Late night kitty cuddles // Packing up the flat :( // My favourite // Pretty new girly satchel // Eggs Benedict in the sun // More for the collection! // Dinner Destination

Another week gone by, I think my life is flashing before my eyes. It's been a slow Instagram week this week, since I've been working for the most part and I've also run out of 3G on my phone, so once I leave my flat in the morning, I have no internet until the evening.

Yesterday I got the key to my new flat, and began the moving in process. I'm gonna be busy unpacking and Ikea shopping for the next few days so I've queued up all my blog posts until Wednesday, including a rather hefty empties post.

The Urban Decay All Nighter spray again has been a lifesaver this week, the sooner this weather cools back down the better! Bring on wintery days and snowfalls! At the beginning of this week I picked up a sample of the Dior BB cream, and I've totally fallen in love with it already, I've even ordered the full size (it would have been rude not to, 20% off on Escentual!). I've also reignited my love for Baby Lips, since this week saw they're UK release. I already had the Peach flavour that I picked up in America, and now I'm totally in love with the Cherry one too!

Normal service will resume once I'm settled in the flat, I should have wifi again as of monday! If not I might go crazy!

Hope you are all okay!

MAC Lightscapade Mineralize Skin Finish

I've spent many a trip to MAC swatching the Mineralize Skin Finishes, trying to narrow it down and pick one to take home, but to be honest, none of them really seemed worth the ridiculous £22 price tag - after all, it's just a highlighter. My mum has Soft and Gentle, and after playing with that, I decided that if I was going to get one, that would be it. But to be honest, I was waiting for an unexpected cash windfall, a Beales discount day, or a day where I just had the urge to treat myself.

Then Lightscapade was re-released with the Hayley Williams collection, and it was compared to the incredibly overpriced Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, which I was coveting, so I decided to bite the bullet and pick it up.

This is kind of a two in one product. Whilst it still works as a highlight, it's a lot more subtle than the other MSF's. There's a shimmer to it, but it's not sparkly or glittery, and it's ever so slight. It's kind of a soft, candlelight beige with veins of orange and blue running through, not enough to show on the skin, but just to add a little more dimension. Unlike the other MSF's this can be dusted over the whole face as a setting powder, which softens your features and blurs the appearance of imperfections and pores, whilst giving your face a natural glow.

This is a very very soft highlighter, I can imagine that on darker skin tones, it's not going to show up one little bit, but for pale skin like mine, it's the perfect natural highlight. Some have said that the wear time of this isn't great, but I've been setting everything with Urban Decay All Nighter, so I haven't noticed that.

All in all this is a lovey little product. The powder is super soft and finally milled and the finish is unparalleled. I really can't find a fault with this powder that would make it worth buying the Hourglass alternative instead!

And like my boyfriend says "it looks like a planet!"

Do you have any of the Mineralize Skin Finishes?

This Works Deep Sleep Stress Less

Hi. My name's Jaye. And I'm a worrier.

I am possibly the biggest stress head you will ever meet, and that's no exaggeration. I've suffered with severe anxiety issues since I was very small, I'm talking Primary School here. I'm pretty sure 99% of the times throughout my life I've felt ill, it's been down to stress, hell, I even ended up with ME because of it.

Whilst for the most part I'm a lot better than I used to be, there are still certain things that get my heart racing, my stomach in knots, my palms sweating and my head in a panic, I've even had a few panic attacks since moving to London. I woudn't necessarily even say it's gotten better, it's just changed.

When it comes to handling the every day stresses, having this little rollerball in your handbag could not come in handier. When I'm panicky, or I start to feel that worried knot of anxiety in my stomach, a little of this on my temples, or on the insides of my wrists, or even a few deep breaths of the rollerball itself is so helpful. It's a blend of essential oils, including Lavender, Eucalyptus, Frankincense and Coconut Oil, and a few breaths of this really helps to clear your head and calm you down.

In terms of helping you sleep too, it's not going to send you off, but it helps you unwind and stop your brain from whirring, long enough for you to drift off.

I really can't tell you how much I love this stuff!

Available from Space NK for £12.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

Listen closely folks, I have an announcement to make, and I'm only going to say this once.

I was wrong.

Ooh that hurt.

I have been struggling recently with keeping my makeup on my face all
day, I don't have particularly oily skin, but for some reason, in the
last couple of months not one of my foundation favourites has been
staying put, even with a primer. And combine that with our current
heatwave, it only got worse.

When I first heard about Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray, I passed it off as a money making novelty product. I couldn't possibly believe that anything could make your makeup stay fresh looking for 16 hours, that is a pretty bold claim.

Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I picked it up.

And it's love.

A few sprays of this across the face in the morning, straight after applying makeup, and it won't budge until you go at it with the Bioderma before bed. It really does work.

This honestly is the perfect summer essential, I've been out in London in temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius,  and gotten home to find my makeup still looking freshly applied. It's small enough to fit in your handbag, but the bottle lasts for ages. I even put this on before heading down the beach, and it works a treat.

Having used this I genuinely don't think I could not have a bottle of this in my makeup collection, it's that good!

Have you tried any of Urban Decay's sprays?

Lush New Shampoo Bar

I don't talk about it much, since its a bit of a sensitive subject, but today, we're talking hair.

The short story here is, I didn't listen to my mother, dyed the bejesus out of my hair, until eventually it was so damaged, I had to have the whole lot lopped off to around my jawline. Can you imagine my face? Not happy.

After months and months (seriously, this happened back in January) I was in total denial and wouldn't leave the house without a hat or an army of extensions AND a hat. But now I've come to a state of acceptance, I've found out how best to style it to suit my face, and I'm rolling with it.

That does not mean I've given up on trying to make it grow.

Along with limiting heat styling, taking multivitamins, singlehandedly keeping Lee Stafford in business with my purchases of his hair growth mask, the lovely Sophie recommended that I try out Lush's shampoo bars, since they worked really well for her. After a brief discussion with one of the lovely ladies in Lush on South Molton Street, I left with this, rather smelly number, New.

Now, I'm going to be honest with you, the smell is not for the faint hearted. This bar stinks to high heaven of Cinnamon, I like cinnamon and even I find it a bit much. But if you can get passed it, it's worth it! It' does die down after a few uses anyway.

I was a little sceptical over this shampoo bar thing too, I love a good lather when it comes to shampooing my hair, and I found it hard to believe a bar would work effectively, but actually, if you rub this between your hands and then rub the bar directly into your hair, it works a treat. It's pretty clarifying so I don't use it every time I wash my hair, but if you're an oily scalped gal then go for it. As far as making your hair grow goes? I can't be sure if its my imagination or not, but I do think its working. Watch this space?

The Weekly Roundup #18

Can you believe this is central London? // Picnic in the Palace Gardens! // Me and the boy! // Shameless selfies // Beautiful sky with no filter // Exploring! // Queen of the Jungle // Cocktail hour! // My absolute favourite <3

Lazy Park Days // Yum! // The best dessert // Date night! // A new polish pick // Magnum Vintage bottle of Champers // Bubbles! // The boy and I // More Cocktails! The best Cosmo I've ever had!

I'm not a shot girl, but these were free and tasted like apple laces // A gift from my boyfriend! // Outfit of the Night // Bournemouth is so beautiful // Off to meet my best girls // The pretty seaside // Strawberry Mojitos! // Classy Ladies // Reunited <3

It's been such a good week (hence why this post is two and a half days late, sorry!)! I spent the beginning of the week enjoying the glorious sunshine, Monday at Kensington Palace and Tuesday at Holland Park (followed up by an evening in Giraffe). Then it was back to work until Saturday, where we helped a friend move and he treated us to a rather large bottle of Champagne, and drinks at our favourite bar (I didn't get in til 6.30am, unheard of for me! I'm getting wild guys!). Sunday I slept most of the day before hopping on a train back home to Bournemouth so I could see my family. After spending the day with my sister yesterday, I went into town to meet up with my two best friends in the entire world, since for once, we were all home at the same time. What ensued was a night of cocktails and giggles, and this time I didn't make it past midnight. I'm now writing this from the comfort of my bed with a severe hangover. Ooops.

If any of you are off to Uni this September, please do remember that it doesn't matter if you're on the other side of a country to your closest friends, because if you are close, it doesn't matter. The most important thing to remember is that no matter what happens, if your tastes change, if you don't speak for a few weeks, you are friends for a reason, and it has nothing to do with the colour of your hair or your favourite band. I love my girls to the end of the world, and sometimes it takes a moment for them to remember that!

Now, enough soppy stuff, onto the beauty! This week has been all about the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. HOW DID I SURVIVE BEFORE THIS STUFF?! Set's your makeup so no matter the temperature, it's going nowhere, and keeps you cool too. I'm also still head over heels for Lustering, I've never loved a lipstick more!

Hope your weeks have been as good as mine!

Back to the beauty tomorrow I promise!

The London Edit: Kensington Palace

As we are fast approaching the one year anniversary of my move to London (where did that time go?!) I realised there are lots of things and places in this big ol' city that I love, and want to share with you, whether that be a restaurant, a park, a shop, a street, whatever. Enter stage left, the London Edit. The newest regular feature on my little blog! I'm hoping to do this once a week, but maybe less, depending on how much time I've had to go exploring. But I hope to share a little slice of London, my life, what I'm wearing, and what I love doing, with you guys through these posts.

So, introductions out of the way, I thought I'd show you what I got up to on Monday!

When it's hot in central London, the last place you want to be, is central London. As soon as the mercury creeps above 20, that's it, I'm off to the nearest open space, to lie in the shade and moan about the fact it's not snowing (yes, I'm one of those strange people who hates summer and loves winter). So when my weather app was telling me that at 9am Monday morning, it was already 26, I rounded up the boyfriend, packed a picnic, my camera, and an army of heat proof beauty essentials, and headed, armed with Tesco Days Out vouchers, to Kensington Palace.

Kensington Palace is astonishingly beautiful. The high ceilings, fabric lined walls, beautiful paintings, crystal chandeliers and intricate golden crown moldings only reaffirmed my lifelong belief that I should have been born into Royalty. It's pretty history heavy, but to be honest, I was too preoccupied with the building itself to be paying too much attention to how King George got the ladies to go back to his quarters (yes, really)

One of the main reasons I had wanted to visit the Palace was the current Fashion Rules exhibit. To be honest, it's not really worth a visit unless you're interested in seeing the rest of the palace, since there are actually only 12 dresses in the exhibit (a little disappointing) and none of them are from particularly important occasions, but if you're fashion hungry like me, it was quite interesting. The top dress was worn by our lovely Queen, way back when, before her hair turned grey, and the dresses in the bottom photo were all worn by the late and great Princess Di, and lets face it, who doesn't have a soft spot for her?

 T-shirt: Zara

Skirt & Belt: Primark

Shoes: Office

Lipstick: MAC Lustering

After exploring the (extremely hot) palace, the boy and I retired to the gardens for lunch, where we sipped white grape and elderflower cordial, ate fresh bread, ham and cheese,  soaked up the sun, and admired the view.  Kenisington Gardens are really lovely, so much more open space than Hyde Park, much quieter too. There's a carousel (that the boyfriend wouldn't let me go on), big open lakes, and lots of trees to find shade.

I went with a maxi skirt for the day, since I wanted to keep my legs covered (I hadn't quite had enough time to fake bake them up!) but still be cool, this is a relatively new one that I picked up for a tenner in Primark. I love maxi skirts, and I'm really loving cobalt blue everything at the moment, so I just had to have this one. The quality is suprisingly good too, for Primark, it's very heavy which I like! The top was a Zara sale bargain, £5.99, I love it because it's big and loose fitting, and the ying and yang symbol on the front is really detailed. My shoes are last years from Office, not massively comfy, but cute and keep your feet cool!

So there we go! Sorry for the photo heavy post but I hope you enjoyed it! You can see more photos from our visit on my instagram, which you should go follow right now!

Park Packin'

Last week, I had planned a day of working in my flat, but my piddly little fan and the impending heatwave seemed to have other ideas (I still can't even find the words to describe how grateful I am to my parents for bringing me their air conditioning unit, life saver). So I packed up shop (by shop I mean copious notebooks, iPad and camera) and headed to a shadey spot in the Kyoto Gardens at Holland Park with Melisa to do a little work, a little chatting, and a little relaxing. I got a little snap happy with my camera, and figured I'd share with you what I took, for those moments when work wasn't at the forefront of my mind...

You'll always find a handbag sized copy of a recent magazine (or five, no wonder my handbag always weighs a ton) in my bag. Melisa is vehemently against handbag sized issues (the girl just loves to have strong opinions) and whilst I do love a good full sized glossy spread, generally the only time I get for magazine browsing is on the tube, and the practicalities of a handbag edition just wins against the journalist in me. I forgot my sunnies (my Oakleys are in the shop being fixed after my boyfriend sat on them.. and I have a habit of leaving Primark sunnies wherever I go) so Melisa kindly lent me her RayBans, which, whilst endlessly unflattering on my face, are ever so comfy, and protect your eyes without making the iPad screen too dark.

At this point, I've completely given up with makeup since it just melts off my face, but I have a bottle of water mist in every handbag, and countless packs of Kleenex blotting tissues, so I can keep cool, but eliminate any shineyness. My makeup-free face is one thing for the general public to handle, but sweaty too? Maybe not.

And of course, the essentials, SPF in oil form, since a pale girl needs all the tanning help she can get, and a bottle of water, whilst I prefer Evian, the glass Voss bottles keep water cooler in your bag longer. Bonus.

What do you keep in your bag on a sunny day?

Loving Lately #2

Halfway through another month, where is all this time going?! I'll be married and popping out kids before you know it at this rate...

Just like last month, I've decided to do another Loving Lately post, just to bridge the gap between monthly favourites, and show you what products have been in my rotation.

Vichy Pureté Thermale Cleanser: I picked up this cleanser at the beginning of the month, as I needed something to suit a more 'normal' skin type, which my skin seems to have become. It's hydrating, and quite refreshing considering it's a milk. It hasn't broken my skin out at all, my skin is actually pretty clear at the moment. It's also paraben free which is a bonus.

Tresemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment: My go to hair mask at the moment. My hair is pretty damaged so I use this every time I wash my hair (every two days) to help strengthen it. I've definitely noticed an improvement, my hair is a lot healthier these days!

Organic Argan Oil with Liquid Gold: A little drop of this rubbed into the ends of hair after blow drying, helps keep my hair soft, and is strengthening it too. Every now and then I coat my hair in this for twenty minutes before I get in the shower, like a quick treatment, and it seems to be working!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paints: In this boiling hot weather, my makeup is just melting off my face, but not these bad boys. These stay put all day, and I've been reaching for them every morning. Read my full review here.

Urban Fudge Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hair Spray: The best hold of any hair spray I've ever used. I've been wearing my hair up a lot because of the heat and this ensures my hair stays put all day (and all night if I forget to take the 4000 grips out). If I'm wearing my hair down, I spritz my brush with this and then brush my hair through with it, to prevent static and frizz, and to make my hair smell good, because this stuff smells heavenly.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: I've been using this to apply my base, since it gives better coverage than the buffing brush, and I've been using lighter coverage foundations. This brush is also great for blending in concealer, and using bronzer to contour your face, since the shape of the brush means it sits perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks. I could probably go away and take just this brush for base, bronzer, concealer, blush & highlighter. Yes I know it needs a wash.

Avene Eau Thermale: Since going on the underground these days is like getting into a bath with Satan, this has been my best friend. My boyfriend thinks I'm ridiculous but I honestly wouldn't get on the tube without this at the moment. It's instant cool refreshment and it doesn't ruin your makeup. Perfect.

Sleek Sweet Cheeks Blush By 3: I haven't been wearing a ton of makeup, but this has made the cut quite a lot. I really love this blush palette, you can read my full ramblings on it here.

Revenge Wears Prada - Lauren Weisberger: Lastly, I love nothing more than a trashy chic lit book to read when it's hot, and this ticks all my boxes. Fashion, drama, relationships, the lot. Anyone who loved the first book should pick this up.

That was longer than I expected it to be! What have you been loving recently?

MAC Lustering

In my absence from the blog, I've developed a new lipstick love. There was a serious gap in my lip colour wardrobe for a pink that's a little darker than my natural lip colour, but not quite in the same region as my Chanel lip pick of choice, which definitely border on the neon. In essence, what I wanted was an unoffensive lip shade with a bit of a kick, I have a lot of barely there pinks from MAC (Lovelorn, Sunny Seoul, Viva Glam Gaga..) but nothing that I could wear with a neutral eye without being too 'done', or I could apply lightly with a bit of a smokey look.

Whilst YSL's Rouge Volupte Shine #17 Rose in Tension would have filled that gap wonderfully (I spend a lot of my time at work gazing lovingly at that one) my budget was a little less excited by that option, so a little aprés work swatching at the MAC counter in Selfridges and I left with this shade, Lustering (and two Lola's Cupcakes, but we won't mention those). I thought this might have been new because I don't think I've ever come across it before, but apparently it's been around for ages!

It's a warm pink with red undertones, something I don't usually favour, but quite like in this lipstick. I actually went in thinking about Crosswires, after seeing a few people mention it recently, but when I swatched it, it was a lot more peachy than I expected. My eye however, was instantly drawn to this number. It's a lustre finish which I'm not usually a fan of, but in this case is a good thing, since you can wear it sheer, or build it up, like I have in the above photo (also, please excuse squinty eyes in this photo, it was so sunny but it's the only photo I have of me wearing it!). It actually looks a little darker in that picture than in real life, I think that's just down to the sunlight though.

It's not too intensely pigmented so it makes it quite easy to wear, and it's definitely a more daytime appropriate take on the bold pink lip I've been loving for summer.

All in all, I'm really pleased with this lipstick, so much so I barely noticed the cheeky little price hike MAC seem to have taken? I can see myself wearing this for the rest of the summer!

Oh my god, I cannot believe it's been four days since I've posted. I've been busy with work and feeling really demotivated. I'm sorting my life out so hopefully this won't happen again in the near future!

There's not much to report on the home front really. My family came to visit at the beginning of the week, and we went for lunch in Giraffe and for a stroll round Holland Park, which is honestly my favourite place in London. I also got to go for Afternoon Tea with my lovely friend Melisa, and Huawei at the gorgeous W hotel in Picadilly, where we were introduced to the new Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone, which I am loving, so keep your eyes peeled for a little review.

Other than that I've just been working! How boring! I'm packing up a picnic tomorrow and the boy, my camera and I are headed to Kensington Palace, I'm so excited to enjoy the sun and relax!

I haven't wanted to wear makeup this week, it's been so hot in London, but I've been loving my latest MACpurchase, a perfect pink lippie called Lustering, and my Avene Eau Thermale has been a lifesaver for on the tube and in stuffy central London!

Hope you've all had a great week!
