Corals, peaches and oranges are colours that until a couple of months ago never entered my makeup routine. I'd tried to use them but I'd never found products that really worked for me. Now however, I've been loving corally toned lip and cheek products, so much so, I thought I'd devote a full blogpost to my favourites.
I'll get the one I haven't shut up about out of the way first, and that's the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Streak. I love the formula of this, it's slightly sheerer than some of the other Revolution Lipsticks I have, meaning you can wear it sheer or build it up for a bolder look. At the moment I've been wearing it sheer, but as soon as spring hits, I'll be going all out. In fact, I love this shade so much that I went and purchased the Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Streak too, so I can match all out. These look gorgeous paired together, slightly peachier than they do alone, but the gloss also looks lovely on it's own. In the tube it looks really bright, but it wears as a gorgeous sheer peachy gloss. I'm really impressed with the formula of this, although I can't stand the smell!
Another sheer offering of the peachy variety is the Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colour in Tutu, my first forray into the world of Bobbi Brown lip products. I love this, it's not so peachy that it makes your skin looked washed out, but it's definitely peach. It's a nice alternative to a nude lip.
Something that definitely falls under the nude lip umbrella is the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Let's Get Naked, a gorgeous peach nude that's gotten me a thousand and one compliments. This is really the lipstick that started my peachy lip love affair, and it's a handbag staple.
There are also two Benefit lipglosses I've been loving (I have four Benefit lipglosses in various shades of orange that I've been loving, but if I talk about them all we'll be here all day). The first is the Benefit Ultra Plush Lipgloss in A-Lister, a creamy peach shade very similar to the Bobbi Brown Lip colour. The other is Dandelion a sheer peach with a hint of sparkle. I love the formula of these, they aren't sticky at all!
For cheeks there's really just been two stand out products. The first is NARS Gilda Blush, a dark matte peach shade that is incredibly flattering on the skin, doing the job of bronzer and blush in one. I love wearing this, it's so easy to apply and looks gorgeous topped with a gold highlighter. The second blush is the Le Blush Creme de Chanel in 69 Intonation, a bright matte coral cream blush that blends out to a gorgeous pinky orange flush on the cheeks, and lasts really well throughout the day.
It's safe to say my coral addiction is in full swing! What are your favourite coral products?
