A recent visit to one of my favourite London coffee shops - Dillons, found it had been transformed into a Harry Potter Wonderland, so I figured it was about time I featured it on my Lattes and Laptops series - because who doesn't love Harry Potter?
The coffee shop was a new addition to the Gower Street Waterstones last year and I was so excited when it launched. They do almond milk, student discount and avocado toast - three of my favourite things!
As it's right next to UCL it's usually full of students and professors working which I quite like, it makes me feel like I'm still young enough to be in uni...
It's very much a communal work environment, with big shared tables and window seats, and just a few individual tables - but it's perfect for me and my laptop!
The main draw for me is the fact they sell tea by the pint - and for a a very non-London price of £2. All tea should come in pint glasses, it's a fantastic measure of tea! The tea they stock is Joe's Tea and is bloody delicious.
I love that it's full of greenery too, succulents on the tables, big green plants on the walls and in the windows, it feels so fresh and airy.
Since Dillon's is tucked inside a Waterstones, it had gone all out last week for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child launch. I loved the Leaky Cauldron sign above the till, and the Harry Potter books everywhere! They were also handing out free Harry Potter themed cake pops throughout the day, how cute are they?!
Reasonable prices, cute decor and a chilled out vibe - what more could you want?
