An October To Do List

Happy October!

In my humble opinion, October is the very best, and most beautiful month of the year. I've got so many little autumnal adventures planned for the month and I just can't wait to share them with you!

Putting together this month's to do list was so easy, that for the purpose of this blog post I'm going to have to trim it down a little! In any case, here's my list of things you should definitely add to your to do list this month!

Bake Chai Muffins. October is the season of Chai, is it not? I love the look of this recipe for dirty chai muffins, with an espresso glaze. My stomach is rumbling at the thought.

Explore Vintage Stores. The perfect activity for a drizzly and grey afternoon. There's a vintage emporium close to me that's always full of little treasures. I love finding gems like jewellery and old furniture. Always a surprise to be found, and even if you don't buy anything, it's a nice way to while away the afternoon.

Cook a Sunday Roast. Is there anything better than sitting down to a real British feast on a Sunday afternoon? I think not. Include potatoes roasted in duck fat, honey glazed carrots, and of course, lashings of red wine gravy.

Make Hot Cider. Arguably the best of the autumnal beverages. And yes that includes PSL. Is there anything better than sharing a mug of hot spicy cider with a friend in the cold? Nope. Not one thing.

Carve Pumpkins. This one needs no explanation.

Pick Up A Magazine. For reading cosied up under blankets on a rainy morning. I recommend picking up Breathe or Flow, but any of these would also work.

Make Fresh Soup. Tis the season to eat soup, falalalala, la la la la. Try this recipe.

Build a Fire. I'm looking forward to cold clear evenings sat around the chimenea, drinking wine and toasting marshmallows.

Basically, the gist is, throw cinnamon on everything you do this month and you'll be fine.

What's on your to do list for October?
