I'm a big fan of sample sizes, whilst I love shopping I hate spending money, so anything that lets me try something out without parting with any cash is good in my books. That being said, I have a massive box in my bedroom full of samples that need using up, so the last few weeks I've been making an effort to use up some of them.
I got a sample of the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet on my last french pharmacy run. This is on my list for purchase after my current moisturisers have run out. It's almost like a mousse when it comes out, whipped in texture. It's not at all greasy on the skin, it soaks up straight away but is intensely hydrating. You only need a tiny amount too!
I had four or five samples of the DIOR Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum, and I've been using it pre-moisturiser in the evenings, and it really just massively increases how much hydration my skin gets from my moisturiser. Generally when I use this my skin just looks healthier in the morning.
Another sample from the same french pharmacy run is the Bioderma Sensibo Forte Cream for Reddened and Sensitive Skin. Now obviously this sample size wasn't big enough for me to tell whether it helped with redness, but it was a nice moisturiser all the same, I think I need to do a little research as to whether it's worked for anyone else before deciding whether to purchase it!
The Ren Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel was a magazine freebie, and the only product in this line up I didn't get on with. I tried this in the mornings but it made my makeup slip off, so I tried it in the evening and it just didn't do anything. Disappointing, but at least I didn't waste any money.
And lastly the Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oils. I knew I wanted to purchase a full size, I just wasn't sure which one so this mini set was a great way to try a few out. I think I'm going to pick up the Relax Deep scent.
Have you tried any of these products?

ReplyDeleteI love sample sizes too, they're usually perfect for trialling a product but sometimes can be a bit on the small size which is a shame. The Caudalie moisturiser sounds really interesting, might see if I can get my paws on a sample myself!xCharlotte / coloursandcarousels

ReplyDeleteI received loads of Bioderma samples from Escentual and I ended up really liking the Atoderm sample, it was really thick and soothing! Sometimes samples are too small for you to make a judgement on - those are annoying!Danniella xwww.famousinjapan.co.uk
