The Forum

This week, I thought it would be pretty cool to open up the channels of communication between you and I. This blog is about you as much as me, and hey, I love you guys!

The first point is, I want to know what you guys want to see here, what posts in the last few weeks have been your favourites, what do you not love so much, and what do you want to see more of? I want to know what you guys like, because you guys are a big part of why I do this, I love it when you love what you see!

But the main reason behind this post is I figured, why don't we help each other? I might be a beauty fiend, but I still have questions, and I'm guessing you guys do too. So how about this, I'll tell you guys my beauty wonderings and if you guys have an answer you can tell me in the comments, if you have any questions you can leave them too, and if you can answer someone else's questions, then go for it! And they don't have to be beauty related!

So my questions? How do you get rid of spots fast? What is your perfect everyday lipstick? Is there a foolproof way to pluck your brows without overdoing it? Is there a hairspray out there that can hold your style without making your hair crispy? Where is the best place to buy high heels at a reasonable price? What's your favourite healthy-but-filling meal? Is there an under-eye concealer that doesn't settle into under eye creases? If you could only have one palette for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Leave any questions you have in the comments, about anything, and if I can help I will!

  1. I always love your haul posts...just sayin' As for spots, I keep telling you, GET THE FACIAL MASSAGE THINGY FROM THE BODY SHOP. You know that huge lump I kept whining over on my chin? Did a 10 minute roll over with the facial massage thing last night and today, it's 80% smaller. I need to know the answer on healthy and fulfilling simple meal as well. Can't keep eating frozen pizzas and grilled cheese. :/ xDaphne | subgenre of a dream|bloglovin

  2. I'll be honest Jaye - I love every single one of your posts. Including this one! Such a lovely idea :) recently I particularly liked your top five foundations because it gave short reviews and comparisons against others, same with your favourite nudes last week, and your FOTD on Wednesday (I think) as I love seeing how people combine different products. Questions. OHMYGOD yes I need an undereye concealer that won't get into my fine lines. Somebody help. Where is that gorgeous necklace from? Would you rather skip blush or lipstick in your daily routine? Favourite everyday lip right now is the collection matte lip cream in cotton candy, so matte but so moisturising! Perfect pallette has to be naked3, I'm such a typical blogger but its so versatile for me! And healthy and filling meal is baked chicken rubbed with garlic and steamed green beans. So filling and probably the healthiest I can get. Katydesu.blogspot.co.ukKaty xx

  3. I have to say, any posts that have to do with lipsticks are my favorite. I am a lipstick fiend! If I could only have one scrap of makeup, it'd be a lipstick. A red lipstick.Which leads me in to answering your next question. My favorite every day lipstick? Kate Moss for Rimmel in 111 Kiss of Life. It smells awful but the color is amazing, and it doesn't bleed. Also Rimmel in 10, which smells amazing but does bleed a bit. For under eye concealer, I just got a tube of Maybelline's Fit Me concealer and it is amazing! I find concealer on my chin especially gives me a dry patch, but this didn't at all! And it stayed put on my under eye area all day. I don't have oily skin, though, so it may be different for people with a different skin type from mine. And lastly, for a healthy but filling meal, I go with hummus. Hummus and pita, hummus and veggies, hummus and anything. Hummus is amazing, healthy, and filling. And usually vegan!xxTanyaminacoleta.blogspot.com

  4. Ahh glad you like it! I really want to try the Aesop Mask but they're just so pricey! The Body shop Tea Tree Oil is a wonder product, so good! I love Boy too, it's such a flattering lipstick! Urgh, I definitely don't have much patience! I like Elnett but it smells SO bad, I can't cope with it! Ooh I always forget about Zara for shoes, thanks for the reminder! Ooh I'll have to try that meal! I forget about the NARS concealer, I mostly use it for blemishes! I'd like to try the Bourjois one though! I agree it would probably be a Naked palette, but I can't decide between 1&2, I use 1 more in the winter and 2 in the summer! Thanks for taking the time to answer all these! xx

  5. Oooh you'll be pleased then because there's a few lipstick posts coming up soon! Oooh I think I have this somewhere, I'll have to dig it out! I've been using the Maybelline concealer recently and I really like it, but I have a really deep crease that's developed under my eye recently and it can't fight it :( Oooh I always forget about Hummus! xx

  6. Thank you so much Katy, that's so sweet of you! It's so good to get positive feedback, you've just made my day! I'd love a good under eye concealer! The necklace is actually a recent one from Primark, it was 3 and I love it! Ohhh that's so tricky! I guess if I could still wear lipbalm I'd skip lipstick because I look so washed out without cheek products! Oh I have one of these, I'll have to dig it out! I love my Naked 3 but I think I'd pick 1 or 2 if I could only have one, I like a good mix of bronzey and taupey shades! Ooh I'm definitely going to try that! Jaye xx

  8. This is such a lovely idea! I personally love the chatty side of blogging, I love being able to communicate with everyone and get everyone's input, I think it's one of the best parts about blogging! It's the main reason why I started! And as far as posts go, girl I love everrryone of your posts and your amazing photos, but I'm definitely partial to posts like 'What's on my face' and 'Loving this week' type of posts. And anything 'top 5' etc, so interesting to read!As far as the concealer goes, have you tried Bobbi Brown or Mac Studio Fix? I love both, and I've never experienced clinginess in creases!BrodieJay.com

For brows, I just pluck out the odd ones and don't worry about trying to actually "shape them". If there is a hair completely out there by its lonesome, consider it plucked! My perfect everyday lipstick is not a lipstick, but Clarins lip perfector in Rose Shimmer. This one is great when I'm at work and can't be bothered to touch up ;)
