My Day In Photos - Monday April 28th

I'm not up to much at the moment, I'm dedicating most of my time to working on my blog, and planning my dissertation and final major project for Uni, so there's been nothing that's really blogpost worthy on it's own. However, my days are pretty busy, so I thought I'd show you what I get up to on an average day off. By day off I mean I'm not in Uni, but if anything I do more work these days than any other!

So my day started at 8.30am (this is early for me) when I was rudely awoken by my boyfriend's alarm. He insists on having this really loud, crashy, annoying Don Broco track as his alarm tone, and it's the single most horrendous song to have as an alarm tone. He then pottered off to Uni without even having the decency to make me a cup of tea. After all the noise he made getting ready, I couldn't fall back to sleep, so I had a read through my Bloglovin' feed, replied to a few emails and organised my diary for the week ahead.

I then got up, dressed and started setting up to film. I've had a few requests over the last couple of weeks to film an 'Everyday Makeup Get Ready With Me', so I wanted to give it a go and film myself putting my makeup on. It took so much longer than expected to set up and film. It took forever to set up the mirror and the camera so I could be seen and see in the mirror! Also my mum phoned in the middle of filming, handy.

Breakfast time! I say breakfast, but I finally sat down to eat this at 11.59am, so...brunch? I'm obsessed with asparagus right now, I literally have it with every meal. I watched a couple of YouTube Videos whilst chowing down on asparagus, bacon and a scrambled egg smothered in Smokey Chipotle Sauce. Yum.

I try not to head into Central if I can help it, it's so busy and if I can go after Uni, I'd rather do it then! However, I needed to hit up Notting Hill's second hand book stores, on the hunt for some books to read around the topic of my dissertation (the more you know...). I managed to pick up a few which will be helpful, and I also got my mitts on a super old (1884) copy of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, as well as the Illustrated Works of Jane Austen. I'm a total classic book junkie. These pictures were taken in my favourite book store, The Book and Comic Exchange, you never know what you'll find in here, it's like Aladdin's Cave, the book edition.

I actually got the bus to Notting Hill, I never ever get buses, but it was actually really nice to see a bit more of London, I usually just see my destination and the Underground, so it was a nice change.

I couldn't resist a trip to Whole Foods, since I was right around the corner. I could literally spend days and all my money in here. I ended up demolishing the most delicious (and free) pizza bread on the tube home, since I was inexplicably starving.

I arrived home to an adorable little package from Alphabet Bags, look at that packaging, isn't it just perfect! Inside the package was a cute postcard, and I ended up using Washi tape to put that and a few postcards I picked up in Paperchase last week on the wall above my desk. I love how it looks!

I was so good when I got in, cup of tea in hand getting on with blog stuff, and taking a stack of photos (including this one of my favourite new necklace, isn't it gorgeous?!). But when the boy got home an hour later, it kinda all went to pot and we ended up sat on our bed, watching the latest episode of Grimm, and tucking into a bag of Doritos with salsa, hummus and the BEST guacamole ever. Seriously, if you're ever near a Whole Foods, make sure you pick up their Hot and Spicy Guacamole, it's the best. I never ate dinner because I just ended up spooning guacamole into my mouth. Classy lady right here.
