The Ultimate Nail Pairing

I have the worst nails EVER. I mean it, this isn't a hyperbole, an exaggeration, or amateur dramatics, it's the god honest truth. My nails never grow more than a millimetre longer than my nail beds, they snap, crack, chip, split, their bumpy, and my cuticles grow faster than anything I've ever known. Honestly, it's enough to make any beauty blogger turn to a bottle of vino.

I've been trying to take better care of my nails, I've tried leaving them bare but it really doesn't help the situation, and it looks pretty damn ugly. Luckily, I've found a base coat that seems to be doing the trick. I've been using the Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat before every paint job, and even if I'm braving the bare nail. Whilst my nails aren't growing any more (I've resigned myself to a stubby nail future),  they are stronger, and they aren't breaking quite as much.

And for every base coat, there is a top coat. I've fallen head over heels for the Sephora Formula X Topcoat, a beauty of a gel polish that seals polish in, makes it look fresh-from-the-salon-glossy and prevents chips for AT LEAST five days, which is practically unheard of in these parts.

I'd wholeheartedly recommend both of these products, used together and my manicures are lasting so much longer than they ever have before. They look pretty damn good too.

  3. I seem to have some kind of problem with my bones, they click/crack daily and are getting worse, so I started taking Calcium and Vitamin D tablets to try and look after them. What I wasn't expecting though was what they've done for my nails. Mine weren't too bad although they did used to split and break, but since I started taking the tablets they've got stronger and they grow like crazy! I don't necessarily mean quickly but they grow long when before they always used to get to a certain length and then seem to stop x
