During Spring and the beginning of Summer I tend to favour a dewier makeup look, a base that looks glowy and natural for the warmer months. That being said, there is a very fine line between dewy and oily, so here's my pick of the best glow-givers.
The L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation is one I've had in my arsenal for a while. This is a great medium coverage foundation with reflective particles that really add a luminosity to the skin. This still looks really natural on the skin and is really buildable. A good all rounder.
You guys know by now that the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is a favourite of mine, and whilst I wouldn't say this necessarily has a 'dewy' finish, it definitely gives a gorgeous glow to the skin, and makes you look naturally healthy. The downside of this one is that it doesn't have the best lasting power, but with a good primer underneath, it'll be your best friend!
An oldie but goodie, I recently pulled the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation out of my stash and started giving it a bit of love again. It's a smidge dark for me right now but after tonights fake tanning sesh we should be good to go again. This looks shimmery in the bottle but that doesn't translate to the face, it just looks incredibly glowy and light reflecting. Like the L'Oreal offering, this has a good buildable coverage, and is one I reach for if I'm having a dodgy skin day, since it seems to hide a multitude of sins (read: pizza induced breakouts).
The reliable one of the bunch is of course the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. I wasn't completely taken by this foundation when we first met, but it's grown on me, and it's one I reach for regularly throughout the year. This has a great coverage, it really covers redness and under eye darkness well, but the gel/serum texture means that it stays natural looking on the skin. This has an 'anti fatigue' formula, and whilst I'm not entirely sure what that means, I'd agree, since this just makes my skin look so alive and healthy!
And lastly, my long-term love, the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, a beautiful glowy, gorgeous foundation that I just can't fault. This contains gold particles which is what gives your skin a fantastic glow. I used to work for YSL and applied this to so many people, and never once found someone whose skin didn't just glow after!
