Before we get into today's post, can we have a gushy moment? Yesterday I got home and checked my emails to find that this little blog hit 1000 followers on Bloglovin' yesterday. I honestly can't believe that that many of you are interested in what I have to say, it just blows me away completely. Everyone loves a good co-ordinating colour, right? Much like when my bra matches my knickers, if my lips match my nails I feel like my life is in order. Read on for my favourite combos!
Two totally gorgeous dark reds, I've penned many an ode here to the Matte Balms, a gorgeous matte finish that isn't drying at all but actually rather smooth. This is probably the most wearable red lipstick in my collection. As for the polish, I have a few from & Other Stories now and they've all impressed me, they last a good 5 or 6 days without chipping and look super glossy! This is the pairing I go for when I want to feel like a Rock Chick or a Grown Up.
I don't regularly sport a pink lip, but when I do this is the one I go for. I just think bold lip colours look best in matte formulas, and this one from Chanel is completely infallible. Watermelon is probably my favourite Summer nail polish, it's just so bright and pretty, it makes me happy just looking at it. To be worn on bright summer days.
You guys know that I fell for this lipstick hard, and pretty much all through January this was the polish I was loving with it. This is the perfect combo for dipping your toe into the coral pool, and it's oh so pretty. The perfect spring combo.
For when you need something a little bolder. I love the combo of a bright orange lip, orange nails and lightwash jeans, is that strange? One of my favourite combinations for when it starts to get a little warmer. I can't fault the formula of these two products, they're both incredible. Perfect for fun Summer outings.
Not exactly an exact colour match here but the idea is nude lips and nails. The easiest nude lip to wear in my collection is definitely Honey, it just gives a hint of colour and a bit more oomph to my lips, whilst being super moisturising. As for New Romantic, it's my favourite barely-there polish, a sheer pinky nude that just oozes 'I'm a Ballerina". My go to for days when I want to feel sophisticated.
