It is very rare for me to try a product from Soap and Glory which I don't like, in fact, I can only think of two products that haven't blown me away, and even then I still liked them. It's possibly my favourite brand from the drugstore, a lot of my day to day staples come from Soap and Glory, so it was definitely time to share my favourite bits with you all! I thought I'd break it up into makeup and beauty bits, today we will chat makeup, and next week, beauty!
So let's start with the one product I just couldn't be without, the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil. They do two versions, one is pencil and pen, and the other is pencil and a spoolie, the latter is my favourite but both are great. I'd say the pen version is a little heavier on the brows, but I prefer the spoolie version for every day, the pencil is just a touch thinner, so it's easier to be precise. The real draw of this is that the pencil is a little waxy so it's pretty hard to go overboard with. I like having a spoolie on the end, it just makes everything a little easier!
Also in the eye department, the Soap and Glory Perfect 10 Palette, a gorgeous everyday palette with a beautiful selection of nudes. Gorgeous quality, high pigmented shadows, I really don't reach for this enough! I know this was a limited edition Christmas palette, but if the quality of Soap and Glory's standard shadows is anything like this then they're totally worth the pennies.
The Soap and Glory Smoulder and Kohl Liners are a recent discovery of mine, and I love them. They're such long wearing pencils, they're easy to blend out but they're also super long lasting. I've got four of these now, a black and brown that I use every day, and then a navy and deep green for when I'm feeling a little more adventurous.
I'm all out of the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara, but I tend to go back to this every few months, because this is just a good mascara. Length and volume, it's not groundbreaking, but it is nice.
I'm newly addicted to Soap and Glory concealers, the original Kick Ass Concealer is my handbag essential. It's got two gorgeous creamy concealers, a yellow toned one and a pink one which you can mix together for the perfect shade for blemishes or undereye, and a light setting powder to keep it in place, and mattify your skin too. So handy! I also love the Kick Ass Blur And Brighten Concealer, which is amazing for brightening up the undereyes, it's almost like a concealer crossed with a highlighter. It's long lasting and gives good coverage, it's also so easy to apply since it's in a crayon form!
I'm almost at the end of my Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder, which I will definitely be repurchasing! Aside from my Chanel Les Beiges, this is my favourite setting powder, it's lightweight and not cakey, but it mattifies beautifully.
Moving on to cheeks and this is where I have to say, the Love at First Blush and Glow All Out Highlighter aren't my first pick, I just find Love at First Blush a bit too shimmery, and Glow All Out a bit too subtle for my liking! However, I absolutely love Solar Powder, it's up there with The Body Shop's Honey Bronzer as my favourite bronzer!
And lastly lips, I love the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks in Plum Jam and Nudist, which are just fantastic everyday lip products. They're glossy but long lasting, easy to apply, and the colours are beautiful. I've only tried one of the Fabu-Lipsticks in the shade The Missing Pink, but I absolutely love it, it's almost a suede effect, soft and creamy but with a fairly matte finish, a pretty pink nude. And lastly, the A Great Kisser Lip Balm, which is incredibly hydrating, not sticky, and it smells of peach!
