The weeks are flying past and I can't believe we are a quarter of the way through February already.

This week has been a marked improvement on the first few weeks of the year. As the week comes to a close I'm feeling much calmer, and a bit more at peace after the uneasiness I've been feeling so far this year. On Wednesday a good friend of mine dragged me out of the house and away from my desk, and kind of helped me remember that there can be life outside of work. We grabbed lunch at Vapiano (Bruschetta pizza with added ham and extra garlic oil, my favourite), took a stroll round Borough Market where I devoured one of the most delicious donuts I've ever had the pleasure of eating (from Bread Ahead Bakery FYI), and took home a bag of mind blowing salted caramel fudge. We ended up walking along the Thames to St Pauls, admiring the views of the Tate Modern, the Globe and the river along the way. It was bitterly cold but it was totally worth it, I went home feeling refreshed, re-invigorated and inspired again. Good friends are the best.

Thursday night I packed a bag and headed home for the weekend, I definitely needed some time back home! After many puppy cuddles, cups of tea with my mummy and swim & sauna sessions with my dad, I'm feeling much better about returning to London tonight!

Looking forward to a busy, productive week this week!
