...celebrated my boyfriend's 20th Birthday. It was a bit of a bust since he had a deadline at 10am the morning after, so he spent most of the day working, but we still managed Cake and a bottle or two of Champagne with friends.
...wrapped up warm and ventured out to watch the fireworks in Southwark. We sang along to Taylor Swift while we watched, and then spent a good few hours walking around London in the dark, from Tower Bridge to Oxford Circus, London is ever so beautiful at night.
...got my mitts on Nails Inc Porchester Square in the gel formulation, and then promptly got it on my mitts. It's a beautiful greige with purple undertones, and looks ever so sophisticated on the nails. The formula is glossy, but still requires a topcoat for longevity.
...had my first red cup. The boy and I had a soup lunch date in Soho Square whilst both of us were in uni, and after we had a bit of free time before I had another class, so we holed up in Starbucks and talked lots whilst drinking Christmassy drinks. I don't like coffee, but I love the taste of Gingerbread, so I had a hot milk with gingerbread syrup, and lots of whipped creme. Yummy.
...spent a lot of time with skincare. Starting tomorrow it's going to be six days of skincare on the blog, a decent skincare post has been well overdue here, so I finally sat down and got writing for you!
...went for a big indian meal with 19 other people. I met up with my parents and went for dinner with them and their camping friends (my parents own a VW campervan, and there's a big old group of them who meet up to camp, eat out, and get mighty jolly on wine. I say camp, this campervan has double glazing, central heating and a memory foam matress topper, so it's more like their own personal hotel room). I'm not a massive fan of indian food, but I love poppadoms with mango chutney, and the restaurant in question does an excellent Chicken Tikka Masala.
...had breakfast at Ace's. I love the vibe in there, it's biker rocker heaven, and well, they have bacon.
...burnt Holiday candles. Actually I only started burning Pumpkin Pie today, I've just had it open on my coffee table and the room has smelt good! I am totally obsessed with the Mulled Wine one, I've literally been carrying it around the flat with me, it just smells incredible.
