I'm coming at you a little late with this post because I've been tucked up in bed with the dreaded lurgy (I'm impressed that I didn't end up with it over Christmas for once!), but better late than never right!
Instead of picking one product for every category, I decided to just round up 15 products that really impressed me throughout 2015, and I think we've got a good mix!
Bodycare
Lush The Comforter Shower Gel - I've always been a firm fan of the Comforter Bubble Bar so I was over the moon when I picked up the shower gel version in the new Oxford Street Store. It smells incredible and really lingers on the skin, it doesn't dry the skin out, and you can use it in your bath for a few extra bubbles too! A great multitasker.
Soap and Glory Orangeasm Scrub - I don't normally get too excited about body scrubs, I usually feel like they're much of a muchness. That was until I tried this back at the beginning of summer and fell in love with it. It's just the right level of gritty, it smells amazing, and it softens the skin without being too abrasive or drying.
Diptyque Eau Duelle - This fragrance was on my wishlist for the longest time before I got it in March for my birthday! Since then I've barely put the bottle down, and I freaking love it. It's warm, woody and not too sweet, and one spray lasts all day!
Hair & Skincare
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5 in 1 Styling Cream - I could happily get rid of all my hair products and just keep this! Smooth this into damp hair, blowdry and style as normal and my hair all of a sudden has lift, bounce, volume, and hold. Amazing.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil - My do it all skincare go to. Moisturises, smooths and helps speed up the healing of spots and blemishes. I wouldn't be without this stuff!
Beauty Tools
Beauty Blender - 2015 was the year I finally understood the hype around makeup sponges. I love this for creating a really natural look with foundation, concealer, blush, highlight and bronzer! It's such a fantastic multitasker.
Sephora Pro Airbrush Foundation Brush - Hands down, the best foundation brush I've ever used. Small enough to get into all the corners of your face, but not so small it takes forever to use, it gives a seamless finish with great coverage and a really natural look. Amazing.
Fleur de Force & Eyelure Fleur Loves Lashes - I've never really been a lash person, but I'm totally in love with these three quarter length lashes that add volume and style without looking obnoxiously fake. I can get three or four wears out of a pair, and they're much easier to apply than full length lashes!
Makeup
Estée Lauder Brush On Glow BB Highlight - I'm ashamed to admit that I rarely look at the Estée Lauder counter, their packaging and branding just never draws me in. I was sent this product to review and I'm so glad I found it because it's become an everyday staple for me. When it comes to brightening up the undereyes in a radiant but natural way, there's nothing better. This is absolutely my number one favourite discovery this year.
MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation: I was never a fan of MAC foundations until this baby, they always broke me out, but this foundation seems to be the exception that proves the rule. Good coverage with a natural finish and it lasts all day, this stuff is holy grail.
Makeup Forever HD Loose Powder - In 2015 Makeup Forever finally launched in the UK and we were treated to a wealth of awesome products. My favourite of the bunch is this incredibly lightweight loose setting powder, which gets rid of shine without overly mattifying, and giving a little glow too.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes - Until these launched the drugstores in the UK were really lacking good blushes. Then these came along and I think I own all of them now, they're essentially exactly the same as the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushes but a third of the price!
Chanel Poesie Eyeshadow Quad - The most beautiful quad of shadows that can make any day or night look. Longwearing, easy to blend and beautifully pigmented, this is my go to for pretty eyes!
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk - The lipliner that changed the game for me. I pretty much wear this every day now, on it's own or under my favourite nude gloss. It goes with every makeup look and has become my favourite failsafe!
Fresh Sugar Petal Lip Treatment - The perfect mix of intensely hydrating with a hint of neutral colour. This is always in my handbag and I'd replace it in a heartbeat if I lost it.
