Weekly Round Up #7

Two posts today! Tomorrow with any luck, my non-beauty favourites will be up, they were really awkward to photograph!
Also, let me know in the comments if you would be interested in seeing a couple of haul posts? I'm not sure whether to post them or not!

Moving on to the job at hand!

First up, I've loved being back home so I can spend time with my animals! I'm not sure I've ever posted a picture of these two before, but these are the evil twins, Willow and Wispa! I got so many Jelly beans for my birthday (my fav!)  so I spent ages organising them into what I like and don't. Weird I know. Sunday night was dedicated to catching up on my magazine reading, and munching on the biscuits of gods. My kitty is just like Sheldon. "That's my spot."

Spent Monday night looking through old pictures with my family. I'm the mermaid! Monday I also picked up my package from the lovely Issie, from our budget blogger swap, I will do a post on it this week, once I've played with the products a little more! Tuesday I met my friend on his lunch break and found a coffee shop that sells Teapigs in Bournemouth! Mmmmm! I love the Heaven and Earth palette from MUA that Issie got me, it's gorgeous!

Naughty Daddy bought me home a cheeky burger king! Yum! A little Easter gift courtesy of my sister! Not sure about my new leggings, my dad says I look like a barcode? As much as I love my new YSL mascara, it does not stand the tear test at all! I'll forgive it though, since I love it so much!

Wednesday was a day for blogging from my bed, since it's so freaking cold! Also recieved my prize from Wagamamas, including a £100 gift card! Thursday I wasn't feeling great, so the day was spent watching Adventure Time in bed. Because I'm cool. I could not live without M&S white chocolate chip cookies and peach and camomile green tea!

A cheeky little haul for the week! Loving my new bunny slippers for around the house, they're so cute! My newest Essie polish, Chinchilly! A lovely grey nude. My nanny made yummy Easter biscuits!

Nails to match my new Zara scarf! My lovely sister made me breakfast in bed Sunday morning, complete with ketchup in a J! Apparently the shops were sold out of Easter eggs, so my lovely friend got me Milka, Galaxy and assorted little eggs! Sunday night Chinese, with my sister and best friend was goooooood!

Got super London withdrawal symptoms now (by London, I mean Selfridges!) and missing my boy a lot, since he's still up there! He's back next weekend though, yay! This next week I'm going to be working a lot, I need the money to fund that shopping addiction!

Beauty wise, this week I've been loving my Garnier Moisture Match face cream, this stuff works! In the makeup department, it's been all about my new Sleek Pout Perfection lip conditioner, which leaves my lips super soft and supple, and my new blush from Look beauty! It's in the shade sculpt and it's beautiful.

On the blog this week, we will be having my non-beauty favourites,  another new MAC lipstick, what I got in my blogger swap, a recipe and a look at a few MUA products. Quite lifestyle based this week!

Hope you have all had a really good week! I'm off to Starbucks tomorrow to meet up with my three best friends, and it will be the first time we have all been together since August!

You can follow me on Instagram @jayerockett, if you are prepared for lots of pictures of food and cats.

March Favourites

It's March favourites time already?! I can't believe we are already a quarter of the way through 2013, I'm getting old!

As ever, this is just the beauty favourites, and there will be a non-beauty favourites post this week! I'm not sure when yet, seeing as they're a bit weird this month and I'm having some photography based issues! They will be here though!

First thing I wanted to mention was my Seaweed Clarifying Toner from The Body Shop. I've said before that my skin tends to break out when I go from London to Bournemouth (or vice versa), due to the change in water. This has totally saved my skin this month, and got rid of the breakout at the first sign! It's also super refreshing, and lasts for ages, I've had this since Christmas and I've used barely anything.

I couldn't do my favourites this month without mentioning THAT NARS palette. It's a totally unnecessary purchase, it is just a neutrals palette, if you have any of the UD palettes or an MUA dupe or really any kind of neutrals palette, you don't need this. But the shadow quality is incredible, and the colours are beautiful, you can read my full review here.

I promise I will get round to doing a review of this soon! I got YSL's Shocking Volume mascara for my birthday and it's love. This is literally the best mascara I have ever used, and I urge you all to go out and buy it.

Now I know the Bepanthen is a bit of a weird one, don't worry, I don't have nappy rash. This is great for cuts, scrapes, grazes, anything. I used this to heal a scrape on the back of my leg, and a graze on my arm. It's not got anything crazy in it, it just seals the area and helps put moisture back in. And it's £2.50. Bargain.

I'm going crazy for Lipcote right now, I just can't believe how well it works! This seals my lipstick in all day, lip prints on glasses and smudged lip kisses are now a thing of the past!

Lush's A Million Kisses lip tint has become my new handbag favourite. It's great for adding a bit of colour to your lips, but you can use it lightly on your cheeks too, and you know how much I enjoy a multipurpose product. It smells amazing, and a little really does go a long way with this product, so it will last for forever!

I was recommended Max Factor's Facefinity by the lovely Sophie over at sophieetc.com, and it's love. It claims to be a three in one foundation, priming and concealing as well as providing coverage, and for me, it does just that. It's pretty high coverage, and I do still use a little under eye concealer with it, but it stays put all day, doesn't dry your skin out, but doesn't need to be topped with powder. This is a great foundation, and it's under £10. Perfect!

So there you have it, this months favourites, what are yours?

My Top 10 From The Drugstore

Now before anyone gets all teen angst on me, yes I know it's not called the drugstore in the UK, but it's so much easier than saying "My top ten from Boots/Superdrug/Tesco/Sainsbury's etc." so I'm calling it the drugstore!

I really think that drugstore brands have stepped up their game recently, if I had the money, I wouldn't just buy high-end products, there are too many things I love that are under a tenner!

I'll start with the obvious, my Real Techniques brushes (they need a wash, sorry, it's on today's to do list!). I absolutely adore these, they don't shed, they're super soft, they wash really well, they're just amaaaayzing. I get asked a lot on Twitter which ones I use most and for what, since I don't really use them for what they're designed for, so here goes!

The massive powder brush I use for just that, it's great for loading up with powder and dusting across the face, some mornings if I don't want a particularly matte look, I'll just dust the brush over my face, since it tends to retain a little bit of powder and they give a great finish. Similarly, the blush brush, which I only got this month, I use for sweeping blusher across my cheeks, and also sometimes for adding powder highlighter, since I like to be quite liberal with that!

Before I got the powder brush, I used the bruffing brush to set my makeup, and whilst it does a good job, it's even better at foundation. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's the best one I've used. It gives a super flawless finish. I use the stippling brush for cream foundations (it was practically made for my Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge) and gel foundations, such as my YSL Teint Touche Eclat, since it handles that kind of formula perfectly. I use the contour brush for, you guessed it, contouring. This brush pretty much goes hand in hand with my NARS Laguna, and I also sometimes use it with powder highlighters, particularly ones with smaller pans, that the massive blush brush can't get into!

I use the detailer and angler brushes as lip brushes, since they are the perfect size, and then I use the deluxe crease brush for concealer, since I find it buffs it out better. And finally, the base shader brush, which is pretty similar to the MAC 217, I use to blend eyeshadow into the crease of my eye!

Phew, that took a while. But yeah, amazing brushes, I use these more than my MAC/Sigma/Japonesque/Crown alternatives!

I'm not a fan of tinted moisturisers or BB creams, I find they never are light enough for my pasty skin, and they end up looking patchy, or too orange, so my go-to foundation for lighter coverage is the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. I wear the shade 120 Vanilla, which surprised me, since I'm normally the lightest shade, but the shade lighter than this, I think it's called Ivory was way too pink for me! But this shade matches me perfectly, and when applied with a Real Tech buffing brush, gives you a light, barely there finish, but evens out your skin colour. The more you work it, the higher the coverage is, so you can build it up, if you need a bit more coverage!

And of course, I couldn't do a top 10 without mentioning Rimmel's Stay Matte powder. I did a full post on this here so I'll keep it brief. Basically, go buy it, it's amazing. And it's £3.99. Amazing.

I've spoken loads before about the 1000 Kisses lip stains, and the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks, I just think they are really really great products, they've got amazing colour pay off, they stay put all day, and they're just brilliant! I did a post quite recently on my favourite Rimmel products, and you can read more about these products in that, here.

You're going to hear me babble on a lot about Lipcote in the next few weeks, it's like the new love of my life. I had a bottle before, ran out, and it was one of those things I kept meaning to order, but just never got round to it. But now, they sell it in Primarni of all places! So when I saw this, I squealed with delight, and have been remembering all the reasons I love it, again! It just seals in your lipstick and makes it last all day long, leaving not a single mark on any cup/sandwich/utensil. Brilliant.

I feel like I don't need to say anything about Sleek blushes. Sleek makeup in general is just really great quality, theire blushes are incredibly well pigmented and buttery, and come in at under a fiver. I think I have three or four now, they might just be my favourite blushes. I reviewed this blush this week, you can read the post here.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos are a newish find of mine. I've never been big on cream eyeshadows, since I normally find they crease throughout the day, and just generally end up on the other side of your face within an hour, but I love these. I have two, On and On Bronze, which is my favourite, and Permanent Taupe. These are super creamy, but they stay put on the lid. They last really well and the colours are so pretty! Love!

Nivea Creams are one of those things that I think are really overlooked. This mini pot cost me 99p, and it lives in my handbag, for dry skin, cuticles, emergency face cream, anything like that. It's super simple, and crazy hydrating, and it works! It's definitely one of my makeup bag staples!

Last but not least, possibly my favourite mascara, other than YSL Shocking volume (which comes with a price tag ten times the size of this one) is NYC's Big and Bold mascara. I did a post on this here, but couldn't not mention it again! It really is a great mascara, and it's like three pounds in Superdrug!

What are your top high street picks?

Aqua Collection

Ever since I saw this blush on PearlsandPoodles back at the beginning of the month, I knew I had to have it. Waiting for it's release on March 13th was like torture, I literally just HAD TO HAVE this product!

Then it came out and, yup, sold out everywhere. It was my ninth, yes ninth, Superdrug trip where I finally got a hold of it.

Priced at £4.29, this limited edition blush is actually cheaper than Sleeks standard blushes! It's a gorgeous pink, the girliest pink you could imagine, with a hint of shimmer, this is my perfect summer blush! The formula is pretty buttery and light, so you can build it up slowly. I apply it with my Real Techniques contour brush on the tops of my cheekbones, and pair it with a subtle smokey eye and my MAC Sunny Seoul Lipstick!

I am so glad I got hold of this blush!

Have you had any must have products this season?

My Lips But Better

These days, I kinda feel like my lips without makeup are just sort of...blah. Am I the only one? In the last few months I've widened my search for the perfect 'my lips but better' lipstick, and have found a few good'uns.

First up is the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel. I'm not sure if I ever posted about how I acquired this, but basically, I took a little trip to Boots at Castlepoint in Bournemouth in a really bad mood, where I basically got a basket and started throwing stuff I really didn't need into it, when all of a sudden I was accosted by the Clinique Saleswoman, who pretty much bullied me into buying this and the matching lip liner. And yes, I do really like it, but I genuinely was a little bit scared of her. Anyway, I've never owned a browny-nude lip colour before this, and didn't really think it would suit me, but this looks great. I didn't like the original Chubby Sticks at all, I felt they were really overpriced for something with no colour payoff whatsoever. But the intense versions are great, super moisturising, and the colour is gorgeous. When I bought this home, I very nearly lost it to my mother, who favours, shall we say, the 'barely there' look.

MAC Faux is probably the colour out of the five that best matches my natural lip colour. Wearing this just gives a more polished look. It's a satin finish, so it's very creamy and sits very evenly, if that makes sense? This stuff stays put all day too, through endless cups of tea and biscuits and everything!

The Kate Moss for Rimmel London Matte lipstick in 008 is an almost MAC Faux dupe, it's slightly purpler in the barrel (is that a word?!) and wears slightly pinker on the lips than Faux, which is pretty much equal parts brown and pink. The matte finish means your lips do need to be in quite good condition to wear it, although it's nowhere near as drying as some of the MAC matte finishes (yes Ruby Woo, I'm talking about you).

Now, I know I did a whole long blog post on all the reasons I hated the Rimmel Apocalips, but I did buy another one the other day. I just couldn't stop thinking about how so many people like them, and wondering whether I was missing something major. So I ummed and ahhed at the Rimmel stand in Boots, Superdrug and Sainsburys for a good two weeks, and bit the bullet and picked up Celestial on 3 for 2. I stand by what I said about the colour range, I don't like any of the other colours, but this one is okay. I do prefer it to Big Bang, I think maybe because the colour isn't as intense, the stickiness and messiness of it isn't as bad. Also, I now use my Body Shop lip brush to take the lacquer off the applicator, and apply it from there instead. This makes the whole too much product on the applicator problem better, and makes the end result actually dry after twenty or so minutes. But to be honest, it's all a bit of a faff for an average product. I could live without this one! It's a nice pinky nude on my lips though, if you don't put too much on, like I have on my hand here!

Last up is the Rimmel 1000 Kisses lip stain, which I've spoken about loads on here so I'll keep it brief. Since it's a stain, it doesn't come out as pink on my lips as it looks on my hand, it just enhances my lips natural colour. I like to top this with a swipe of lipgloss, or if my lips are feeling particularly dry, just a clear lip balm. Pretty.

So they are my top picks, can you tell I'm really into Rimmel products at the moment? Last month I was all over Benefit, this month it's been Rimmel, I wonder what's next...

What's your favourite 'your lips but better' lip colour?

Primark Goodies

Armed with a little birthday money, I headed into Primark intending on picking up some accessories to jazz up my uniform jeans and jumpers, but to be honest, I was pretty disappointed. I was in one of those moods where I could very easily spend a lot of money, but nothing really jumped out at me!

I left pretty light handed! I picked up two statement necklaces, I really love the silver spike one! It looks great with everything! I also picked up this pretty scarf, which looks gorgeous with my trusty grey Topshop jumper, and my new pink jumper! I don't really wear much colour, so I'm hoping to inspire myself into spring with this scarf!

I also picked up another bottle of Lipcote! I can't get enough of that stuff at the moment!

Have you bought anything in Primark recently?

Lovestruck for Lovestruck.

My lovely little sister picked this Vera Wang perfume out for me as a birthday treat. I've had my eye on it for a while, but my student budget won't stretch to yet another perfume!

Vera Wang Princess has been my go to daytime fragrance for a good three or four years now, and it's never let me down! I love Vera Wang fragrances, they are very light and girly!

Lovestruck is a very pretty, floral, feminine fragrance. Pink Guava, Mandarin, Tuberose and Lotus Blossom combine to create the most mouthwateringly delicious scent, that is perfect for spring and summer! I've had so many compliments whilst wearing this fragrance!

Even the bottle is gorgeous! My only complaint would be that the lid is so huge, it's not ideal for throwing in your handbag!

Have you tried any Vera Wang fragrances?

Brick O La Laaaaa.

Ahhh Brick O La. It's been on my lust-have wishlist since the beginning of time (well not really, but you know what I mean), and thanks to an overly generous best friend and birthday time, it's now mine!

It's a weird one, it's not quite red, not quite berry, not quite terracotta. It's great worn patted into the lips for a muted day colour, or applied liberally for a bolder look. It's an incredibly wearable colour, you can get away with pairing it with a subtle smoky eye, or a flick of winged liner, and the Amplified Creme formula means it's super creamy and hydrating. The wear on it isn't great, but I like to top it off with a layer of Lipcote, and that makes it stay put all day long!

Have you tried Brick O La?

Weekly Round Up #6

Sunday I got the chance to play with my new dotting tools from Amazon for the first time, I'm still not very good at nail art, although these make it easier! Then we had afternoon tea, scones and waffles with family in the sun! My first birthday present, yum!

Sunday night meant family dinner out for my dad's and my birthdays! We anihilated a basket of forty chicken wings and a basket of chilli nachos to start, and I followed up with a chilli burger! On the morning of my birthday, my lovely dog waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs! Aren't my birthday cupcakes the cutest?! So sickly though!

The discovery of a Space NK in Bournemouth can only be bad for my bank balance in the future! Loving my new Topshop leggings that I got with birthday money! Super cosy! A very big beauty haul hit the blog this week, I can't help being a shopaholic! I spent ages this week organising the makeup I bought home! My new dressing table is super organised now!

Barbie girl nails on my fingers most of the week! My new Maybelline Gel top coat is amazing! No chips! Wednesday night meant bubble bath time, how cool is this bath bomb from Lush? Held my best friends hand while she got her new tattoo, and then happily spent my Wagamamas gift card with her, on Chicken Ramen, Edamame and Peach Ice Tea, my favourites!

Thinking of doing a post on my MAC lipsticks, I love them all so much! Some naughty new purchases this week, money just burns a hole in my pocket! Manicure on Thursday night, love the glitter ombré look! Tried out some Phyto samples from Space NK, it's love, but it's too expensive!

It's been another weird week, I'm feeling super old! Missing London and my little flat already, and definitely having Selfridges withdrawal! Looking forward to getting back home! But it's been great to catch up with friends! Been neglecting the blog this week, but I'm going to get myself back on track!

Beauty wise, I've been loving my Body Shop Seaweed toner this week, my skin always breaks out when I come home, the change in water freaks my skin out, but this has totally calmed it down! Also a special mention to my Soap and Glory pore minimising wipes, blog post coming soon!

In the makeup department, I don't think anything can compete with THAT NARS Palette! But I have been loving my new Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze! I just love a neutral eye colour!

I've also drank my body weight in Naked Juice this week, and I'm feeling super healthy! I wish it wasn't £2.50 a bottle though!

Birthday Treats!

So
I'm like the worst blogger ever. I find it really hard to stay
motivated with blogging when I'm back in Bournemouth, I don't really
know why! I've had a really busy few days, catching up with my best
friend, but no excuses!

So
Monday was my nineteenth birthday! I've been thoroughly spoilt by
everyone, and have had loads of messages from people wanting to know
what I got, so I thought I'd show you! Finally got my hands on the
gorgeous Zara Office City bag, it's perfect for carrying my laptop, iPad
and daily essentials, but it's also a pretty decent sized overnight
bag! They also bought me some more Real Techniques Brushes, my gorgeous
YSL Shocking Volume mascara, the Fat Face PJ bottoms I've been lusting
after for too long, a few fashion books and that gorgeous Sicillian
Lemon Fragrance Lamp for my flat! How pretty is that! They also gave me a
little money to pick up some new clothes, since I seem to have
grown/worn out everything in my possession! My lovely little sister got
me Vera Wang's Lovestruck perfume, a scent I've been lusting after since
it came out! I never mentioned it to her though, we must just have very
similar taste! My naughty boyfriend not only got me the rest of the
Vogue books to accompany the Alexander McQueen one I got for Christmas,
but also picked me up the Police Woman perfume I love, and the MAC
Mineralize Rich lipstick in All Out Gorgeous. That boy knows waaaaaay
too much about lipstick these days! The Soap and Glory soap and hand
cream, and the Wagamamas gift card were from my very close family
friends, check out what I spent that on via Instagram!
I also met up with my lovely best friend this week, who treated me to a
MAC lippie of my choice, so I finally picked up Brick O La, and it's
love!

More beauty reviews coming your way this week, I promise!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes too, it made me feel so special!

THAT NARS Palette.

I know. I know. I shouldn't have bought it. BUT IT'S JUST SO PRETTY. When it sold out everywhere, I accepted that it wasn't meant to be. But then I went into Space NK in Bournemouth yesterday, about to happily leave with nothing more than a new Laguna bronzer (more on that another day) and I mentioned that I liked it and she told me they had a few left just not on display. So clearly it was fate...

It's pretty good value for money really. Six high quality shadows, the eye primer and a brush for £40.50. And the shadows really are high quality, buttery and smooth, long lasting and incredibly well pigmented. Metallic Rose Mist looks beautiful swatched across the lid, or used as a highlighter on the inner eyes or browbone. Matte Grey Brown is light enough to wear on the lid during the day, but dark enough to blend into the crease. Gold Confection is pretty much just a slightly darker version of Metallic Rose Mist, and is my favourite for a base colour! Bitter Chocolate Infused with Gold is just beyond beautiful, and I like to smudge it into the crease of my eyes lightly in the day! Deep Taupe Brown infused with Gold is lovely too, in the palette it doesn't look particularly sparkly, but it has just a hint of shimmer! The last shade is  Black with Gold Pearl, and it's probably the only shadow I won't use on a daily basis, but it's a gorgeous nighttime shade for a smoky eye, it's a little like my MAC Gilt By Association, but with a little less shimmer.

Either way, this is a great little palette, PERFECT for carrying around in your handbag! I regret nothing!

The Eye Shader Brush is super soft and great for applying a full sweep of colour across your lid. And the primer is great, these shadows are pretty long wearing anyway, but this just makes it stay freshly-applied looking all day.

What do you think of this palette?

Metallic Rose Mist, Matte Grey Brown and Gold Confection.

Bitter Chocolate Infused with Gold, Deep Taupe Brown Infused with Gold and Black with Gold Pearl.

Haul - The Birthday Beauty Edition

So here's the deal. Stop a shopaholic from shopping for a month, and when they do, it'll be bad. Add birthday presents and birthday money into the mix and it all gets a little messy.

I wanted to show you guys what I got for my birthday yesterday, but I got a fair bit since my relatives and friends are way too generous. So I thought I'd split it into beauty & other, you can see the beauty stuff today, and later on in the week I'll show you the rest! So here goes nothing...

First up, the Quick Fix Facials Mega Moisture Gel Mask for dry and thirsty skin. I picked this up on a complete whim, purely because I wanted to try it out. It's got Vitamin E and Marine Collagen to rehydrate your skin. I'm gonna give it a whirl in the bath tonight, so I'll let you know how that goes. I've run out of foundation, so I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 100 ivory. I really liked the Wake Me Up foundation, but it wasn't quite light enough for my skin tone, so I thought I'd give this a whirl! The Percy and Reed Colour Shine conditioner came free with this months Glamour, I've used their styling creme before and really liked it, so I'm looking forward to using this! It smells lovely and fresh! My lovely little sister got me Vera Wang Lovestruck for my birthday, and I love it! I'm rubbish at describing fragrances, but this is a very light, floral scent, that is perfect for summer and wearing in the day! It literally has the worlds biggest lid though so I don't think it'll be in my handbag often!

I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me powder when I got the Foundation, since they were on 3 for 2. I've heard really good reviews of this powder it's in a really cute compact with a mirror and a sponge, which I will probably never use, but it was a nice thought! I still picked up the Rimmel Stay Matte powder though, because it's just brilliant, and I've hit the pan on my last one! I think that's the first time I've ever hit the pan on anything! I did pick it up in Peach Glow 003 instead of Transulscent 001 this time, and now I'm really not sure why, it looks really pinky and my skins got more yellow undertones...so we'll see!

Under the guidance of my boyfriend, my mum picked me up the YSL Shocking Volume Effect mascara, which I nearly peed my pants with excitement on opening. I got a sample of this mascara with my Touche Eclat last year and have been lusting after it ever since. THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST MASCARA EVER. NO SERIOUSLY. HANDS DOWN. YSL are really screwing me over though, since the mascara came with a sample of foundation, and now I really want that too... I feel myself following a gold brick road of YSL love...

I've run out of Seche Vite and can't find it in Bournemouth any where, so I picked up the Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail colour top coat. I've wanted to try a gel topcoat for a while so I'll let you know if it's any good after I've done my nails tonight!

Next up is my naughty NARS purchase. I knew going into Space NK was a bad decision. When I've come to terms with that purchase, I'll tell you more. I feel a very long blog post coming up!

Then there are two more hair products, The Living Proof hair primer which I got for free from Space NK since it was my birthday! And I picked up the V05 Give Me Texture Tousle spray, to see if I can make my hair look nice without extensions. Fingers crossed.

Finally got my hands on the Real Techniques Face brush set courtesy of mummy dearest. Can't believe how long I lasted without them, these are amazing! I picked up another Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, because I ran out and it's another, I can't live without product! I picked up this months Look magazine, purely to try out the Jergens Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser that came with it, I love Jergens moisturisers, and I'm keen to try this out.

Estée from Essiebutton has been going on about the Maybelline colour tattoos for so long that I just had to pick one up in the 3 for 2 deal, so I got On and On Bronze. It's a gorgeous colour which I can see myself wearing everyday! I picked up the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Blush out of curiosity, since it's a really, well, weird product. I actually really like it and will be doing a post on it soon so keep your eyes peeled!

And lastly, not only did my naughty boyfriend pick me up the MAC Mineralize Lipstick in All Out Gorgeous, which I have been lusting after for ages, but he also got me a giant bottle of Police Woman, which is an amazing fragrance, in a seriously cool bottle!

After I took all these pictures, I actually went into Lush and I figured it would be rude not to mention these bits too! I actually went in to buy more Let The Good Times Roll but it's been discontinued, I nearly cried. I'm so gutted, it was my favourite cleanser!

I'm embracing having a bath for the next month, so I picked up two bath bombs, Phoenix Rising (left) and Avabath (right). Phoenix Rising is my favourite, it's deep purple with gold glitter and I think it smells like coca-cola. Either way it's very pretty! Avabath is made from Avocado and Lemongrass, and it smells beautiful! Whilst I was queuing to pay I saw the A Million Kisses Lip tint, and picked it up to keep in my handbag. It looks super deep red in the pot, but you can wear it to just lightly stain your lips pink, or for a full flash of colour. This is going in my handbag for sure!

Phew, so there you have it!

What do you think of the products I picked up?

What's on my Face: The Birthday Edition!

Happy birthday to me! Gah, I'm nineteen, I feel so old!

I've had a great day, done a fair bit of shopping and had lots of lovely presents, so at some point this week I'll show you what I got, but for today, just a quick my daily face post!

This is kinda my go to look at the moment for day to day stuff!

So I start off with Benefit Porefessional and That Gal primers mixed together to create a dewy, yet long wearing base. I mix the two on my hand and then use my fingers to smooth it over my skin. I'm currently testing out the YSL Teint Touche Eclat foundation, in shade B10. This is a great gel based foundation that's got medium coverage and stays put all day. I use the Real Techniques Pointed foundation brush to apply this, I'm currently in love with this brush!

Concealer wise, I use the Illamasqua Under Eye Concealer to mask those tell-tale bags from a sleepless night. I use the Real Tech. Detailer brush to apply it, and then blend it out with my fingers. It's a great concealer for brightening up the area, it doesn't give much coverage though! I'm still loving the MAC Studio Finish concealer for any blemishes, and around my nose area.

After that, I dust Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder in Translucent over my face to set, with the Real Tech Buffing brush. Love this stuff. Nothing else to say!

I did a little contouring today, using the Real Tech Contour brush to blend Elf's Warm Bronzer and MAC Archie's Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter Me into my cheeks. Are you picking up a love for Real Tech yet?

Face done and I move onto the eyes. Using Benefit's Stay Don't Stray as a base, I cover my lid in NARS Frosted Ginger with my MAC 215 brush. This is a limited edition brush so I don't know if it's still available, but I love it! I then use the Real Tech Deluxe Crease brush to blend Shimmering Copper into the crease. Finish with lashings of my new YSL Shocking mascara (review coming soon).

Then, out comes the scary looking MAC Mineralize Lipstick in All Out Gorgeous. For a night out I'd swish this all around my lips nice and heavy, but for a day look I pat it gently into my lips, and use my Body Shop lip brush to even out the colour.

Finish with a spritz of MAC Fix+!
