Hydration Boosters

We're getting to that time of year where the air gets a bite to it, and my skin starts to feel like that of a particularly dry and scaly lizard. It's a fact of life, as we approach the depths of winter, our skin needs a little more TLC than usual. I'm rounding up the best of the hydration boosting bits to keep you guys, err, not lizardy?

Let's start with body bits, now I'm pretty lazy when it comes to moisturising my body, I'm five foot ten so it takes a bloody long time, so nine times out of ten I reach for the Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser. You use this just like you would a shower gel, but when you wash it off your skin is noticeably softer and more hydrated. A good option for when you don't have time (or can't be bothered) to use a standard moisturiser. If I've had a bath, or I'm just feeling the need to moisturise, I've been reaching for the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk, which is easy to apply since it's light and has a pump. It smells really warm and it sinks in fast, so it's a winner for me.

Moving on to the face, on a daily basis I've swapped out my usual night moisturiser for the A Derma Nutrialba Rich Nourishing Cream, which has a thicker, more intensely hydrating than any other moisturiser I've tried. I like that this gives a real boost of moisture, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily the next day. If my skin needs a real boost I've been reaching for the No7 Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask, which I really don't think gets enough recognition. I either use this as a mask for a ten minute boost, or overnight for a real skin treat.

And lastly a special mention to the Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm, which never fails to keep my lips soft and hydrated.

What do you reach for this time of year?
