Summer Holiday Favourites

My summer holiday might be over but I'm living each day in loving memory of it. As I write this the clouds are building up outside, you'd never believe it was August, so I'm living vicariously through pictures of happier times in 38 degree heat. Since my brain is still firmly in holiday land, I figured I'd round up the beauty products that were firm holiday favourites!

I'm going to keep mentions of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion Spray brief since I've been talking about it a lot recently (find my full ode here), but this was the perfect styling choice for my travels. I spritzed this throughout the lengths of my hair when I got out of the pool or the shower, and let it dry naturally. It just gave my hair a bit of texture and wave, whilst calming my curls and preventing frizz.

I took a bottle of Riemann P20 SPF 30 Sunscreen with me, and it was fantastic. It's got a spray top and an oil consistency which makes it incredibly easy to apply, and I didn't burn at all whilst I was away, a rarity for a pasty girl like me!

Makeup-wise, I picked up the No7 Sunscreen BB Cream with SPF 50 in duty free, and it ended up being the only base I used! It's a good coverage BB cream with full sun protection, it just smoothed out the appearance of my skin perfectly. This seemed a good compromise in the day between wanting a bit of coverage in the day, but also not wanting to be wearing a full face of makeup either. I loved the look of this on my skin, and the shade (fair) matched my skin well at the beginning and the end of the trip when I had a bit more colour! The finish of this is definitely on the dewy side, but in combination with the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, it was perfect!

The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray also came in really handy, a few spritzes of this on my skin in the mornings and my makeup stayed in place all day, despite the heat and the humidity!

And lastly, a special mention for my Travalo! Not only was this super handy for reducing the size of my luggage (and preventing breakages), it was also so useful for chucking in my bag when we were out in the day in case I wanted to freshen up (which I usually did since it was so hot). I filled it with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance, which is perfect for summer holidays!
