33/52 - Slow and Steady

Another week been and gone, and in contrast to last week, I can't help but feel like I've achieved very little. After spending the first half of the week playing tour guide (and a little bit tourist too), getting back into the swing of working was hard, and I've spent most of my time playing catch up (and daydreaming over holiday photos).
  1. Returning to Windsor Castle with our American Visitors, and settling in for a leisurely brunch at our favourite restaurant there, The Tower Brasserie at the Harte and Garter Hotel. We went before and it was awesome, but my dessert was even better this time. Keep your eyes peeled for photos this week!
  2. Sinking in to a hot bubble bath after a long day tourist-ing. I popped into Lush before dinner and on a staff recommendation picked up the Big Blue Bath Bomb. It was exactly what I needed, packed with sea salt and rosemary, it eased my aching muscles and sent me off to sleep!
  3. Discovering a new favourite breakfast location in London! I've been to Leon countless times for lunch, but never for breakfast before. If you're trying to eat healthy (or dairy free) then it's worth checking this place out, it's one of the few breakfast spots that offers Almond Milk!
  4. Finding a Ban.do planner in Paperchase. All the planner addict excitement.
  5. I gave up my room for the son of our guests this week and so until Thursday I was sleeping in my parent's campervan on the drive. It was so cosy and warm, and it felt like a mini staycation!
  6. A long and leisurely brunch on Wednesday, as we recuperated from the 10 miles of walking we did on Tuesday! We headed to my favourite Bournemouth breakfast spot and just hung out. Lazy days feel so good when you've been busy!
  7. The rain! Bit of a weird one for August I know, but Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons, and I'm so excited for the cold to come! This week has been grey and drizzly, and the evenings have been much cooler than usual, it's so nice to not wake up in the night all hot and sweaty! I love having my windows open when it rains!
  8. My sister bought me a handful of Sephora Sheet Masks back from Singapore and I love them so much. I used the Pomegranate Antioxidant and Energizing one this week and it's probably my favourite face mask I've ever used!
  9. Clean fresh sheets. There is nothing better than getting into a freshly made bed.
  10. Seeing my elderly Labrador looking happy. By happy I mean wagging her tail, begging for food and telling the cats off. Since the vets changed her medication she's been so much happier, and it's the best feeling.
I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday, be sure to let me know in the comments some happy things from your week! x
