Am I The Noisy Neighbor?

So I was reading this article last week (okay so it was on Buzzfeed, but for the purposes of making myself feel like Buzzfeed isn't the procrastinators best friend, we shall pretend it was in The Guardian or something), and it was talking all about problem neighbors. And it got me thinking.

Sometimes, it's so quiet in my flat, I forget I live in a flat. Like legitimately, I forget that there are hundreds of people living in my building besides me. 

So I started to wonder, is the soundproofing really good in this building? I mean it's possible, it's a fairly new building, it's only been around for three years. Or...

Gulp.

Am I the noisy neighbor?

I'm the first to admit, I'm not the quietest person out there. I talk pretty loud and pretty often. I'm not good at not slamming doors, and I keep fairly strange (read: student) hours. When I'm home I like to turn up the volume and sing really loudly, and I have been known to vacuum at three am.

Oh god.

I think I'm the noisy neighbor.

How does one stop being a noisy neighbor, exactly?
