We all have them, the products we know will always work for us. Whether it's a bad skin day, or you've only got five minutes to do your makeup, it's nice to have an army of failsafes to hand, products you know will look good no matter what.
From the moment I first tried the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation, it was love. In fact, it was the same with all these products. This foundation is the perfect mix of glowy but not wet or dewy looking, natural looking but with good coverage, and it wears fantastically throughout the day. I honestly can't fault this foundation, and it looks amazing on my skin regardless of what kind of day my skin is having. Equally as reliable, the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer, a product that covers eye bags and blemishes perfectly, whilst looking flawless on the skin, and lasting all day. Could you ask for more?!
I didn't expect great things from the NARS Deep Throat Blush, but wow was I wrong. This bad boy is my perfect neutral blush, the perfect hint of colour on the cheeks to accompany any eye or lip look. It's got a hint of shimmer to it, which means it really grabs the light beautifully, and it's the most long wearing blush in my stash.
I'm aware there's a lot of NARS here, but it's really just a testament to how great the brand is. The NARS And God Created The Woman Palette is the only eyeshadow palette I really, truly love. There's not a single fault with it. It's got the perfect selection of shadows to create any eye look you may need, it's compact and perfect for travel, and it's got a big old mirror. The shadow quality is second to none, I've really put a dent in this palette! Also on the eye front, it's worth mentioning the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara. I dabble with other mascaras, but I always come back to this. Long, fluttery, voluminous lashes in one swipe.
And I of course had to mention the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boy, my perfect nude. It just goes with everything, it's so easy to wear, and it just makes me look good.
