Finding the perfect under eye concealer is no mean feat. You want something that offers coverage, colour correction and brightening qualities too, it's a lot to ask from one product. That doesn't mean though that it's impossible, and I've got a handful of go to concealers when I want to brighten the under eye area.
Rimmel do concealers pretty well. They're pretty much my drugstore go to, because unlike most budget friendly options, their offerings have good lasting power. I've used up two tubes of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, a good mix between brightening and coverage, that looks really natural on the concealer. It's got a doe foot applicator so it's easy to be quite precise, but it can be a pain to get the remenants out of the tube when you're running low. The only gripe with this is it is a touch on the yellow-y side, so generally this is fine but if my undereyes are looking really dark I reach for something pinker. I also love the Rimmel Match Perfection 2in1 Concealer & Highghlight.
This one isn't as high coverage, but it's super brightening, and really gives a lot of light to the undereyes. This is incredibly light on the skin, and super natural looking, it blends really easily into the skin. I love these kind of brush on concealers, they're my favourite to apply!
Also from the aisles of the drugstore is the Maybelline The Eraser Concealer in Brighten. This is super pink toned, so it's perfect for colour correcting dark circles. Day to day I just use this but for filming or a night out, I'd layer a concealer with more coverage over the top. This does an amazing job of counteracting blue tones and adding light to the area too.
From the budget friendly to the not so, let's talk about the YSL Touché Eclat. This is a bit of a love hate product, but the reason people don't like it is because they think it's a concealer - it's not! It's a highlighter, but it's pink tones make it perfect for counteracting dark circles. If it's coverage you want, look elsewhere, but for colour correcting and brightening, this is your guy. It's easy to apply and super natural looking, and a tube will last you ages too.
And lastly, a good all rounder, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This has it all, coverage, colour correction and brightening properties, but it still looks natural. If I was only going to keep one, it'd be this!
