Five To Try

It's been a while since I've done one of these posts, so I figured it was about time to bring it back. Think of these posts as five mini product reviews bundled up into one little package! All these products have been in my rotation over the last few weeks and I'm giving you the low down...

Makeup Forever Smoky Lash Extravagance: Ever since the Makeup Forever UK Launch I've been trialling a handful of products, and this one has taken a little time to win me round. It's got a giant conical wand made with spiralled natural bristles, and the formula is extra black, and holds up incredibly well - unlike some mascaras it doesn't flake or make me want to pick it off. The problem I had originally is that the wand is huge and the formula VERY wet, so I kept getting it all over my face, it would remain wet for a few minutes after applying and I'd smudge it when I blinked. However, after about a week and a half, the formula dried up just enough, and I really like it now! It's got a lot of length and separation, it's not going to give you that kinda clumpy volumised look, but it will nicely define your lashes. I just love that I can wear this for over 12 hours and it doesn't irritate my eyes at all, or flake! You can find Makeup Forever products here.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick: I was dubious about this lipstick, I'm not a fan of the packaging or the smell, and some of the shades are just really bright and not my cup of tea, but I picked up the shade Rose and I love it. It's creamy and incredibly pigmented, and super long lasting to boot. Rose is a pretty peachy shade perfect for spring!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: If you've followed me for a while you'll know I fell in love with this concealer last year. I loved it but the lightest shade sold in the UK is now too dark for me (crossing fingers I'll get a tan over the summer so I can wear it again), it's a lightweight concealer for the undereyes, but it covers up everything. My friend Alexandra kindly sent me the pink shade from Canada and I'm in love. It cancels out undereye darkness like a dream, but doesn't look like you're wearing concealer at all. Amazing.

Urban Decay 27/7 Liner in Perversion: I've had this for the longest time, living inside my Smoked palette, I totally forgot I had it. I found it again a few weeks back and since then I've been obsessed. It's a completely matte black eye pencil, and it's so longwearing, the best eye pencil I've ever tried!

Garnier Summer Body Lotion: I'm not a fake tan user, I'm so pasty that even the best of tans look orange or streaky on me. I have however, been using this moisturiser with just a hint of tan on my legs to give them a touch of colour pre wedding this week. I've applied this before bed every night for the last week, just for a hint of colour! Perfect if you're looking to tame down pasty legs without going overboard or orange.
