Wedding Guest Beauty

Last weekend marked the first (and last) wedding of the season for me, and I figured, with wedding fever in the air, now was as good a time as any to run you through my go to wedding guest beauty look. The aim of the game here is natural and glowy!

I started everything off with the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer to smooth and prep my skin, making sure my makeup stayed put as long as possible. I then used my dampened beauty blender to apply a thin layer of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation just to even out the complexion. I went light on the foundation and then just used extra concealer where I needed it, to ensure a super natural look. I used the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer on my undereyes and everywhere I'm prone to redness, and just blended that in with the beauty blender until it was seamless. I set the lot with a thin layer of the Makeup Forever HD Powder to keep it in place, and this adds a little light too.

Cheeks I kept simple with a light dusting of the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose pretty much in the middle of where I would put blush and bronzer, since this has a slight bronzy hint to it.

This stuff does so much for the cheeks, it really adds so much shape and dimension to the face, and it's super pretty. I also added a tiny bit of the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade along the tops of my cheekbones as a subtle highlight.

I prepped my eyes with the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eyeshadow in Playa Del Pink for a champagne shimmery base layer. I used the light matte brown shade from the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con The Lolita Palette, to add depth to the crease, before taking the opalescent pink shade (fifth in the palette) all over the lid. I used my finger to press it into the skin, for a more intense sheen. A little of the dark matte brown shade along the upper lash line, with lashings of YSL Shocking Volume Mascara to finish. I kept my brows fairly minimal, just using the Soap and Glory Archery to fill in any gaps.

And on the lips I went for my current lipstick favourite, the Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne, a nudey peach which is all sorts of pretty.

What's your go to wedding look?
