28/52 - Afternoon Tea, Accidents and Alone Time

This week has been a good week, punctuated by bouts of stupidity. This week I've managed to obtain about 17 bruises, mostly all up my legs and on the backs of my arms, which is just great considering my graduation dress for next week is short and I'm off on holiday after. *sighs*

Most of my time this week has been spent prepping and getting ahead of my work load ready for the next two weeks. I'm spending next week in London before heading off on holiday for a week, so I've had a fair amount of stuff to get on with! There was still plenty of time for happy things however!
  1. I woke up on Monday morning ready for a pretty boring day of admin, but no no no! My wonderful boyfriend surprised me by whisking me off for afternoon tea in a fancy hotel, and a walk along the beach. I felt thoroughly spoilt, and it definitely put me in a good mood for the rest of the week!
  2. Getting some puppy love. I've been home most of the week on my own so there's been lots of one on one time with my dogs! Puppy cuddles make everything better.
  3. I bought a pair of Havaianas a while back in preparation for my holiday, and I pulled them out this week so I could wear them in and oh. my. I've never had a pair of Havaianas before, I never understood why anyone would spend nearly £20 on a pair of flip flops (I found mine on sale in TKMaxx) but WOW they are worth it. They definitely didn't need wearing in, they don't rub at all, and they are so crazy comfortable! Mine are a pretty hot pink and gold combo and I don't ever want to take them off!
  4. A weird thing to be happy about, but I love my shower at home so much. It's so much more powerful than my shower in London, and I could easily waste half an hour in there every day.
  5. I got my big girl pants on this week and put up some shelves! I've never done anything like that before, but I felt very proud of myself. Even though they're slightly wonky.
  6. A surprise delivery of a new Erin Condren Life Planner arrived on Monday, and thrilled would be an understatement.
  7. I've been really good about drinking more water this week, I've been getting my eight glasses a day in and I feel so good for it.
  8. I finally got around to starting Devious Maids, it's been on my hit list for months! I'm totally hooked and I'm now half way through season 2! If you liked Desperate Housewives you'll love this.
  9. A hot coffee after a long day. Sometimes you just need a little pick me up.
  10. Getting back to London. It's nice to have a bit of time on my own, in my own space! I love my family, but sometimes I just need to be back in my own space!
Next week I graduate! Scary stuff! Here's to another great week! x

  1. I love putting up shelves! Every single piece of furniture in my flat was put up by girls, which I'm quite proud of. Except the bed... that was put up by guys and they broke it :P I totally get the alone time thing, I was at home for over a week and my friend was visiting so now being home is absolute bliss because I can just sit and scrapbook all day! And I'm graduating next week too!

  2. I absolutely love Devious Maids, one of the best shows out there at the moment. Good luck for your graduation babe, scary and exciting but it is a celebration of all your hard work! X

  3. Boyfriend points +10 :D / Oh goodness, how did you get all those bruises?? I hope you're okay! If it puts your mind to rest, nobody will notice (or at least they won't remember) that you specifically had bruises when they look back to their graduation day :P -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
