5 Things To Buy In September

Welcome to September! Are you as excited for Autumn as I am?

So I'm back again with five products that are definitely worth the splurge this month, if you don't pick up anything else you should get these.

Starting with the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 Oil Free, the perfect base to take you from Summer to Autumn. Lightweight but with buildable coverage, this stuff evens out your complexion and gives a hefty dose of glow to the skin in the process. It took me a while to come around to this stuff, but the trick is to make sure it's an exact colour match to your skin, or it won't work at all. But, when it is a good match, it's amazing stuff.

Good news, the Maybelline Colour Elixirs have FINALLY landed in the UK (only like a year too late but you know), and I urge you all to hop to your local Boots immediately to stock up. Beautiful glosses that aren't sticky, give a beautiful sheen of colour and last amazingly on the lips. The glossy finish just looks amazing, and the colour range is fantastic. I can recommend Breathtaking Apricot, Caramel Infused, Petal Plush and Rose Redefined.

I'm not sure when this happened but Soap and Glory have re-released their Archery Brow Pencil, replacing the pen end for a spoolie. I believe they are going to be selling both, and whilst I like the pen end, I find the spoolie much handier. Especially for travel. Anyway, the pencil is the only brow pencil that has ever worked for me, super small and waxy enough that it's not easy to go overboard. The colour is a great match for me, a good taupey brown that looks natural. And it comes with a bargain price tag.

Also from Soap and Glory, I'm currently loving the Sexy Mother Blusher in Pinker Belle, a gorgeous cream blush in a beautiful pinched-cheek-pink. This stuff has almost a moussey formula, it's incredibly easy to blend on the cheeks, and can look really natural or be built up to an almost neon look. I'm loving these stick blushes at the moment, they're so easy to apply and so pretty on.

And lastly, a special hair product mention. I'm really into Percy & Reed products at the moment, and the No Oil Oil is no exception. Perfect for slathering onto the ends of my mane aprés shower, or smoothing out flyaways throughout the day, it's super lightweight and somehow I think it might even help with volume a little. Definitely worth the splurge.

What are you gonna splurge on this month?
