I'm quick to rave about the latest trend, or seasonal product, but I often have to remind myself to mention the longstanding, every day favourites that don't leave my side. Sad but true, often the most hardworking products get the least reward.
I've been a Tweezerman fan for years and years, they're the best tweezers I've ever used. With these in hand plucking stray brows and applying false lashes is a piece of cake. They're sharp and precise, and I would repurchase them in a heartbeat if anything happened to them.
Also on the tool front, the Shu Umera Lash Curlers, the best in their field by far. I don't know what makes these so much better than others (aside from their sexy gold exterior) but they really are incredible. They lift the lashes and the curl will hold no matter what mascara you use.
When it comes to breakouts, I always come back to the MAC Studio Finish Concealer, a dry, high pigment concealer that will cover even the angriest blemish. I use a small brush to pat it directly onto the area I want to conceal, and then my finger to blend it out. Bye bye blemishes.
I set my face everyday with the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder, come rain or shine. It's a lightweight powder that doesn't leave a trace on the skin, but holds makeup in place all day, and combats shine.
And a special shout out to hair grips, because I get through a ton of them. I've tried a load but my favourites are the ones from Primark, they're cheap and they don't twist, and the ends don't fall off making them sharp and scratchy.
