When you work from home, it can be difficult to, errr, work from home. Sometimes the distractions of the house (a big pile of laundry, dishes that need doing, Netflix) prove too much to resist, so I like to occasionally get out of the house. I normally end up in Starbucks, but Daphne and I have been trying to make an effort to go somewhere different, and this week ended up in Harris and Hoole.
Despite being a chain, H&H has that cosy, one off coffee shop feel. I loved the decor, from the rustic wooden tables, to the crazy patterned floors, and the coffee quotes on the wall. They have an app and when you sign up you get a free drink, which is a nice touch!
I opted for a pot of Elderflower tea, and Daphne went for a flat white, complete with beautiful latte art. I loved the rustic cups, so cute! I also couldn't resist ordering a Peach & Elderflower muffin, two of my favourite flavours, and it was delicious! So refreshing, and different to any other cake I've tried.
The wifi was good and the atmosphere was cosy, I love that they allow dogs in! We spent a good two hours working away and I loved it!
I've been back since for another working session, it's got a nice relaxed vibe that lends itself well to a few hours spent with a laptop. The staff are friendly (and worryingly, they remember your name), and don't mind if you while away the hours on their free wifi!
