The Autumnal Blush Edit

I'm guilty of getting stuck in a blush rut, and reaching for the same old favourites over and over. I'm trying to shake up my everyday picks more regularly to prevent that from happening, so right now my Muji drawers are stuffed with autumnal cheek picks that I love, that deserve a bit more lovin'.

The YSL Kiss and Blush in 08 is a pinky cream blush that sits on the slightly deeper, rosier side of things. It gives the cheeks that wind-bitten flush that autumn brings, but in a more controlled and cute manner than a clown cheek sorta thing. It's easy to apply, and it doubles up as a cute lip colour too.

The Barbara Daly Velvet Cheek Blush in Fresh has that nudey blush thing down, think NARS Sin or Tarte Exposed. It's a gorgeous soft matte blush that blends into the skin beautifully, to look like a natural flush to the cheeks. A perfect everyday option.

I've been in love with Tarte Fearless for a really long time, and whilst it looks good all year, it comes into it's own this time of the year. There's something about the cool undertones of this matte pink blush that goes with the taupe smokey eyes and berry lips I love in the autumn, and it's incredibly long wearing.

I honestly think that Hervana is Benefit's most underrated blush. With swirls of peach, pink, purple and creamy highlight, it's incredibly versatile, but in the winter months I like to get a good even swirl of everything, the purple tones make for a great pairing with berry lip colours.

And lastly, the Max Factor Cream Blush in Nude Mauve, which is what I reach for when I want a do it all in one blush, bronzer, contour, highlight. A dusting of this on the cheeks is an easy cheat to sculpted cheeks.

What blushes do you reach for at this time of year?
