Happy Sunday! I hope you have all had a fantastic week, for the first time in forever, the week hasn't flown by, and I actually feel like life is slowing down again. Such a welcome feeling after a whirlwind few months!
That being said, the last couple of days haven't been as productive as I'd have liked, Con and I both got hit by a virus that just knocked us both for six, horrible migraines and achey limbs, and super tired all the time. Horrible stuff. I'm pumping us both with vitamins in the hope we'll feel better soon!
Happy things!
Happy things!
1. Fresh coffee and fresh air. It's the simple pleasures in life that we normally overlook, but grabbing a coffee with my guy and drinking it whilst getting out for a walk was the perfect antidote to a tedious Monday.
2. Going bare faced and feeling fine about it. A few years back I wouldn't have dreamed of leaving my bedroom without a full face of slap, but this week I went into central for lunch and a little light browsing of Oxford Street with Daphne with no makeup and my hair up in a messy bun. And I didn't care. And that felt good.
3. The new Starbucks Mulled Spiced Apple Chai drink. It tastes and smells like toffee apples and apple pie, and it's freaking delicious. Perfect for when you need a hot drink to warm you up but don't fancy a coffee.
4. A cheeky evening cider consumed at my desk whilst editing blog posts. Sometimes you gotta treat yo'self for a hard day's work.
5. Making an effort to spend more time with Con. His uni course is more intense than either of us imagined it would be, and the little time he is at home, he's spending glued to his computer. On Wednesday though he had a long lunch break, so we met up for an Itsu and coffee date, complete with lots of hugs!
6. Finally getting around to filming another video! I had so much fun filming my October Style Diary, to show you all a good peak in my wardrobe, I hope you enjoy watching it!
7. A big roast dinner with Daphne and Con, complete with two hours sat around the table after we finished eating chatting and laughing. I love these two so much.
8. I finally found a King Size Brushed Cotton sheet to go with out cosy tartan Ikea brushed cotton bedding. Why are king sized sheets so hard to find?! Our bed is now a den of coziness that I never want to leave!
9. Whilst it sucks that Con and I haven't been feeling great, it's been a nice excuse to spend time together just relaxing. Con very rarely gets sick, so sometimes when I don't feel well he's not the most sympathetic, so with both of us hit by the same germs, he's been VERY sympathetic! We spent most of Friday and Saturday cosied up in bed watching Hell's Kitchen and feeling sorry for ourselves, which makes a nice change from both of us rushing around working!
10. The simple delights of a hot bowl of fresh soup on a cold day. Consumed from my cosy warm bed!
Here's to another great week guys! x
