I am unreasonably excited for October. I am aware that it's just another month, but it's my most favourite of months. Changing leaves, cooler air, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, shorter days and Halloween? Yes please.
I'm going on a spending ban for the month of October, so there will be no sneaky purchases from me, but if you need any guidance as to what to splash your pennies on this month, here are my recommendations.
Soap and Glory The Perfect Ten Palette: A pretty exciting Christmas release from Soap and Glory, this would make an awesome gift for a beauty lover, or a bargain treat for yourself. I have a review of this coming up this week so I'll keep it brief, but it includes ten beautiful neutral shades, the formula is fantastic, and it has a bargain £16 price tag.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation: I like to opt for a little more coverage in the cooler months, and I can already tell you that this is gonna be my go to base this month. A good medium coverage and a velvet-y finish, this stuff is like 'your skin but better'. Yes, it's pricey, but it's bloody well worth it.
Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm: October is, for me, the season of chapped lips, so I always like to ramp up the intensity of my lip balms for the colder months. This one from Avene is a fantastic everyday option, it's thick and super nourishing, the squeezy tube is hygienic for on the go, and it sinks in really fast if you want to apply lipstick over the top. An autumn handbag essential.
Korres Lip Butter in Plum: I'm perpetually scared of berry lips, but I love the idea of them. Instead of a full blown purple lipstick, this month I'll be sporting a berry tinted lip balm, the beginners berry option. I love this one from Korres, it's just enough berry to be seasonal, but it's also super hydrating.
Ciaté Nail Polish in Boudoir: I find red nails really difficult, I feel like if the red isn't quite the right shade it can danger on looking stripper-esque. Whilst the name of this nail polish definitely suggests that lady of the night quality I'm trying to avoid, the colour doesn't. A gorgeous pillarbox red that looks classy and seasonal.
What are you planning on buying this month?
