Sometimes, you don't want to put on a face of makeup, but you don't necessarily want to go all 'I just woke up like this' either. When these days roll around (usually on a Sunday) there are a few steps I like to employ to make my 'I just woke up like this' face, a little more presentable.
I start by cleansing my face, & using an exfoliating toner, to make sure my face is clean, and to wake my skin up properly. My skin always looks a lot perkier after using an exfoliating toner, which is half the battle.
Since I'm plagued with the curse of the awful eyebags, yet another downside of perpetual insomnia, whether I'm wearing makeup or not, I have to do something to tone them down. I've fallen back in love with my Origins Ginzing Eye Cream, which not only is super cooling so helps with puffiness, it also is really reflective, so it really helps add light to the area.
Also for the eyes, I keep a bottle of the Optrex Brightening Eye Drops on hand, for those mornings when your eyes are all dry and itchy and red. These really make my eyes look like they I'm a total morning person.
Lastly in the eye department, my Shu Umera Lash Curlers. I have pretty good lashes, they're pretty long and not too sparse, but they can lie a little flat. Even on no makeup days, I like to give my lashes a few pumps with these to give them a little lift. It helps make my eyes look more awake, and makes my lashes look better.
Whilst I don't suffer too badly with my skin, other than the odd hormone/pizza induced breakout, but I do have a few red patches. The L'Oreal Skin Perfection Perk Up Cream is a moisturiser with a slight tint to it. It gives my skin the boost of moisture it needs, whilst toning down the redness a touch. It's undetectable on the skin, but it does make a difference. My skin, just a little bit better.
And lastly a swish of lipbalm, because dry lips are not sexy. The Maybelline Baby Lips Intense Care is a good'un for a dose of moisture and easy application. Also, it smells of frangipans.
