With Christmas coming up and Ciaté releasing their annual polish advent calendar again, I thought I'd tell you my thoughts on last years, since I can't imagine they'll be much different!
First of all, let's touch on the idea of beauty advent calendars in general. They're kinda gimmicky, but if you do your research properly they can be worth your pennies. For any polish lover, this would make a great early Christmas gift, or just because treat. And for yourself, well, you deserve it!
The Ciaté calendar last year contained 22 nail polishes and polish effects, a set of mini nail files and a little bracelet. The bracelet was definitely gimmicky but I can overlook that considering the rest of the contents.
There was a good mix of different coloured polishes, sparkly topcoats, nail bead, nail glitter and even nail sequins. For a nail polish fanatic or nail art lover, this is a definite winner. The polishes are slightly smaller than the standard polishes from Ciaté, but it works out at around £2 a polish as opposed to £9 a polish if you were to buy them alone, so it's a definite bargain. Out of all the polishes there are only two that I'm not sure I'll get any use out of, the rest are all gorgeous.
I'm a big fan of Ciaté polishes, they've got a fantastic colour range, they apply really smoothly & they last a really long time.
Overall, you definitely get enough polish for your buck here, it's more about justifying whether you really need 22 new nail polishes!
