I thought it was about time I updated you on the skincare currently in rotation. Some of it's new, some of it I've shared before, but I've got new thoughts on all of it.
I'll start with the cleansing combination that my skin is loving, I've been using The Body Shop's Camomile Cleansing Butter to remove all my makeup. It's thick and hydrating (without the overpowering smell that lots of balm cleansers seem to have), and gets even waterproof makeup off with ease. It doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or greasy, just clean and soft, which is good with me. I follow it up with the Origins Checks and Balances cleanser, which my skin just loves, it really gives my skin a good deep cleanse, leaving my skin feeling really clean but not stripped.
If I've been wearing a lot of makeup, or I've been out in central all day, I like to use a manual exfoliant to really make sure I've gotten all the dirt and product off my skin. I've been loving the Boots Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub, which isn't too harsh, but really cleans the skin.
I'm pretty bad at remembering to use eye cream before bed, so I've been keeping the ADerma RheaCalm Eye Cream on my bedside table to remind me to use it. It's hydrating without being super heavy, it's not got an offensive smell, and it comes in an easy to use squeeze tube. I've no idea if it's working, but I like it.
I've been using the Yes To Grapefruit Exfoliating Face Wipes in the morning to wake my skin up. I can never be faffed with giving my skin a full cleanse in the morning, but these really wake my skin up and make it look much better! Because these contain an acid exfoliant it's obviously important to keep these away from your eyeballs, and if you have super sensitive skin I'd steer clear, but I really like them and they're working well for my skin. Pretty reasonably priced too.
I like to follow that up with a spritz of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir which has been a staple in my skincare routine for over a year now. The essential oils in this do wonders for my skin, really plumping it up and brightening it, making it look healthy and glowy. I definitely need this in the mornings!
This isn't all the products I've been using, but they're the 'notable mentions' as it were.
