On My Face: Currently Loving

It's been a while since I've done any kind of favourites post, so I figured it was about time I showed you the products I'm currently loving in action! The star of the show here is the new Christmas palette from theBalm, the In theBalm of Your Hands palette I talked you through yesterday (click here if you missed that post, for more detailed photos & swatches).

I'm completely head over heels in love with the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation (I wear the colour NC20 in case you're interested). It's longlasting, good coverage, natural looking, but most importantly, it's all those things AND comfortable on the skin all day long. It's everything I've ever wanted from a foundation.

I've been skipping concealer and just using the Estee Lauder Brush on Glow BB Highlight in giant triangles under my eyes to brighten up my skin. This is such an awesome step, it really adds so much brightness, but in a natural way.

Everything cheekwise is courtesy of the In theBalm of Your Hand Palette. Bahama Mama taken under the cheekbones to add a little contour, Cabana Boy Blush on the apples of the cheeks for a touch of colour and the Mary-Lou Manizer on the tops of the cheekbones for a little sheen. I've been rotating between the blushes in the palette but otherwise it stays the same! I love these powders, they're so versatile and easy to blend.

For eyes, I've been starting by going all over the lid, from browbone to lashline, with the Mary-Lou Manizer Shadow. Then I've been taking either Insane Jane or, like today, Mischevious Marissa across the lid up to the crease with a fluffy brush and little of Bahama Mama in the crease for definition. Finish with a little of the Bare Minerals Lasting Line Eyeliner in Eternal Bronze along the upper lash line, and a coat of the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara.

Brows are handled by the Soap and Glory Archery DIY Brow Bar, using the lightest shade to fill in any gaps, and then it's back into the In theBalm of Your Hand Palette, to put the shade Caramel on my lips.

And voila! Done!

Hopefully that will give you just a hint of an idea as to how versatile this palette is, you really can use all the products inside for so many things!

What products have you been reaching for this week?
