It's been the longest time since I bought a MAC lipstick. I got to a point where every trip to a MAC counter had me picking up only lipsticks I already had, I had every colour I was attracted to!
Back in January I stripped back my makeup collection and sold half of my MAC lipsticks, leaving me with a handful that I was really happy with.
And then a few weeks back I picked up a lipstick I didn't have. I tried it on and from then on, I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I finally picked it up.
The lipstick in question is Fanfare. A pretty salmon-y pink, this definitely pulls more coral on some people, but on me it's a happy nudey pink. Not too light, just comfortable and wearable. It's a cremesheen finish which I think is my favourite, you do need to be careful of dry patches, it can cling to them, but otherwise it's soft and smooth, glossy and pigmented, and longwearing.
