37/52: Changes

This week has been one of changes. September has well and truly given way to fall feelings, crispy leaves line the pavement on my street, colder nights are starting to set in, and the weather is turning blustery. And really, you know it's fall when Starbucks release their adorable fall-themed cards! I'm in love with this cute leaf one.

This week I also accepted a job offer for my very first, post graduation, grown up adult job. How bloody terrifying. I spent half the week jumping every time the phone rang, and the end of the week feeling half excited, half terrified. Eeeek.

Aside from the obvious, there have been lots of happy things this week!

  1. An impromptu waffle date with my parents godchildren. Delicious waffles and catch up with the kids is possibly the best way to spend a Monday night.
  2. I had to go back to London for the day on Tuesday and Con joined me for the drive. It was just really nice to spend some time together without distractions, just chatting.
  3. Eating GIANT pizzas at Icco with Daphne and Con. Yay for garlic oil.
  4. I was lucky enough to attend a press event with Debenhams and The Balm this week, where I met Marissa, the founder. We sat and chatted over cocktails and canapes, and she was such a lovely, down to earth, inspiring woman, with a great story. I left feeling so uplifted!
  5. Finding the most delicious candle in Homesense, it's Honey and Nectar flavoured, and it smells so warm and autumnal.
  6. I made homemade lasagne, and we snuggled up on the sofa to eat it watching Bake Off! I'm such a homebody, and I love evenings like that. I also love that I've had a lot more time to cook recently, this week's highlights included a big beef casserole, flapjacks, and a club sandwich inspired salad!
  7. A celebratory pizza date with Con after accepting the job offer!
  8. Feeling super productive! Now that I'm faced with a ticking clock before beginning full time work, I'm in full productivity mode trying to get as much done as possible! It feels so good to be ticking things off my to do list!
  9. I spent all day Saturday helping Daphne move, and we rewarded our hard work with the most kick ass hot dogs, in a cool north London pub. More on that next week!
  10. A perfect lazy Sunday, a lie in, lunch with my dad, a little shopping, and then home to watch a movie. Good stuff.
Hope you're all having a relaxing Sunday! x
