New In From The Drugstore

I very rarely pick up anything new from the drugstore these days, things just don't seem to excite me in the way they used to in the aisles of Boots. However, over the past few weeks, three products have made their way into my stash, and I've given them a run for their money.

L'Oreal recently reformulated and repackaged their True Match foundation, and I've been testing it out for a while now. I loved the original True Match so I was concerned to find they'd reformulated it, but I actually still really like it. It's a little lighter in texture than the original, it blends easier and feels lighter on the skin, but it still gives the same finish and coverage, so positive changes! The only thing about this is that it now seems to oxidise a little, so it's worth bearing in mind when picking this up. But the shade range is great, and I much prefer the look of the new bottle!

I hadn't seen the Maybelline Brow Satin before so I picked it up to give it a whirl. It's a double ended product, with a narrow waxy pencil on one end, and a foam tip applicator with powder on the other, the idea is that you fill in gaps with the pencil, and then add definition all over with the powder. The formula is great, it's easy to use and it lasts really well, so that's good. I picked up the shade medium brown, because Blonde was too light and Dark Brown was really dark, but this is a touch too greeny for my liking. It's fine when applied carefully, and combed through, but it's not going to become a staple because it's just not quite right.

And lastly the Maybelline Matte Master Ink Liner, I was out of liquid liner so I picked this up on a whim. It's super easy to apply (for a liquid liner), and it's got a nice thin nib. The product itself applies really dark and dries fast, but I just find that this smudges on me after about four hours. Boo.

Have you tried anything new from the drugstore recently?
