Finding the perfect foundation brush can be a real chore, it's easy to not know what you're missing until you try something different. I found that out, when I left my beloved Real Techniques Buffing Brush in a hotel room (sob) and was forced to try something different, and ended up falling in love.
First onto the scene was the Nanshy Flawless Foundation Brush. This does what it says on the, er, handle, it gives a flawless, airbrushed finish. Best used with thicker formulated, high coverage foundations, this brush's densely packed artificial bristles make light work of blending, giving seamless coverage and a HD finish. My go to for days when I want my skin to look impeccable.
Next up, the Zoeva Silk Finish Brush, a domed bristled brush that isn't quite as densely packed as the Zoeva offering, I really like this for gel formulated foundations, it just seems to work well with them, it doesn't absorb too much product, or leave it looking cakey, it just presses it into the skin like a dream.
And lastly the Sephora 56 Pro Flawless Airbrush, my go to for everyday. This is noticeably smaller than the others, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in might. Rounded bristles that are densely packed but not stiff. It kinda does all the work for you, it's perfect for applying sheer, thin layers of product and building them up for a super natural look. I love them all but this is the one I'd grab in a zombie invasion.
