I was out last week with Daphne and Milly, and as we shovelled food into our faces, we got onto the topic of Burger Proof Lipsticks, because we're beauty bloggers and food lovers. Milly decided it'd be a great post idea (thanks for the idea girl), and so here we are talking lipsticks that won't budge no matter how much food you consume.
First up, let's talk about Urban Decay's amazing Revolution Lipsticks. The formula across the line is fantastic, super pigmented, creamy and longwearing, but the shade Gash is particularly longwearing. This deep berry red hangs around, without being overly matte or drying, all day. Good stuff.
I find the formulas of MAC's Matte lipsticks very hit and miss, not consistent at all. The shade Russian Red is matte and creamy, but not drying, and the colour won't transfer onto any burgers/paninis/pizzas you may want to consume.
The L'Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss in Smoke Me Up is a new addition to my stash, this applies as a creamy opaque gloss, and dries down to a matte liquid lipstick. This stays put through most stuff once it sets, but when it does wear down, it stays as an opaque stain.
A less intimidating shade, the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Peony is a pretty pink that dries down completely matte and doesn't move or transfer at all.
And finally, theBalm Stainiac isn't so much a lipstick as a longwearing stain, one you'll never need to reapply. You can really build up the colour to a bold pink, or wear it light for a more subtle colour.
What are your go to burger-proof lipsticks?
