Another month, another peak inside my makeup bag, and this time, it's the product line up that is making the trip to Disney with me on Thursday. Since it's my birthday trip, I've packed a lot of favourites, cause we all want to feel good on our birthday, right?
Of course, I'm taking my Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Bag because I'm obsessed with it, and you can literally fit so much stuff in here. It's like the tardis but for makeup (I seriously hope I'm using that reference right, I've literally seen one episode of Dr Who much to Daphne's disgust).
So no surprises for guessing the primer of choice for the trip. Long days at theme parks are no trouble for the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, so into the bag it went. I ummed an ahhed over base but settled on the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, it's long lasting, a gorgeous matte but natural finish, and the great thing about it is you can wear it light for day times, and build it up for a fuller coverage look in the evenings. Also in the bag for it's multipurpose properties, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, it's high coverage and battles undereyes and blemishes with ease. Cheek-wise I opted for my NARS Blush in Deep Throat, one of my absolute favourites, it just goes with everything! I also popped in a bronzer in the hopes I wouldn't look dead in photos! I went for the Jouer Sunbeam Mattifying Bronzer, which adds warmth to the skin tone and because it's matte helps add a little dimension to the cheekbones. I wasn't going to pack a highlighter but I ended up chucking in The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, because this stuff does wonders for the complexion. It's like pressed angel tears.
I went a little cray on the eye front, mostly because I want to be able to do ALL the eye looks. I threw in my MAC Painterly Paint Pot to use as a base, or to even out the skin tone of my eye lids on winged liner days. I decided to take two palettes, which I know is way too much for five days, but they're both dinky and very different. Up first the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics which you guys know is my daily jam for neutral eyes, the kinda palette winged liner was made for. I was gonna leave it at that, but then I figured, it's Disney, I may want some shimmer, so I chucked in my Chanel Quad in Posie too, it's got two beautiful light shimmer shades, a gorgeous shimmery bronzey taupe, and a dark chocolate shimmer. So now I have everything for day or night. I threw in my By Terry Kohl Terrybly in 03 a dark dark bronze, as well as my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, for that winged liner I've spent half the post chatting about. For mascara, of course, my latest splurge of the YSL Shocking Mascara, my all time favourite! For brows I chucked in the L'Oreal Brow Artist Pencil & Plumper, for filling in my brows & setting them all day.
And lastly, lips! I had to pack a red lip, because it's Disney, and if you can't wear red lipstick at Disney where can you? I opted for the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in F-Bomb, a classic bold red, and the Urban Decay Lip Liner in Ozone for underneath! I'm being practical in the knowledge I probably won't want to rock a red lip the whole time, so I also threw in one of my favourite nudes, also from Urban Decay, in the shade Naked, and the Josie Maran Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick in Playful Pink for something subtley pink and super hydrating.
I know, I know, it's a lot. But hey, it's my birthday, girls gotta have options, right!
What's in your makeup bag right now?
