February flew by and I'm glad to see the back of it. March is my birthday month, and this year I turn the big 2-1, so it's especially exciting! I have a lot to look forward to this month, from finally handing in my dissertation, to my birthday trip away, but before we get cracking on a new month, I thought I'd share a few highlights of February with you first. Kind of like an exercise in gratitude, I'm trying to make a more conscious effort to appreciate all the best moments.
I've been setting aside a little time for yoga each day for the month of February, and the difference it's made has been astounding. Not only for my energy and fitness levels, but it's also been helping me feel less anxious and panicky too. I love getting up in the morning and spending half an hour on something strictly for me, and taking the time to work on my Shavasana is really helping me stay calm and feel good. If you're looking to dip your toe into the yoga world, I would whole heartedly recommend trying the 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene challenge, perfect for beginners, or people who are looking to get back into regular yoga practice.
I've been making more of an effort to get out and about in London this month, the realisation that I might not be living here after July hit me hard, and there's still so much of this beautiful city that I want to explore. This month I finally saw St Pauls in the flesh, visited Borough Market for the very first time (where I ate the most delicious donuts ever), and spent a lot of time just walking through the city. It's a pretty inspiring place to be, and I really will miss London so much.
I got the opportunity to visit the Citizen M Bankside hotel this month for an awesome evening of celebrating creativity. I got to meet lots of other amazing bloggers, drink delicious peach bellinis (my favourite cocktail ever!) and hear the stories of two seriously inspiring women. You can read all about the evening here.
I feel so much better about my blog having taken a few days in February to rethink the kind of content I want to create here! Throughout March you'll be seeing a few different kinds of posts, I really hope you'll love reading them as much as I love creating them! I've also been enjoying posting on my lifestyle blog so don't forget to follow me over there too to keep up!
What were your February highlights?
