New Skincare Loves

I've had a bit of a rejig of my skincare recently, I'm pretty sure that after prolonged use my skin just gets used to products, and they stopped working so well for me. Luckily, as I was starting my quest for some different products to add in to my routine, Debenhams got in touch and offered to send me over a few products to try out as part of their #DebsLovesSkincare campaign. I got to pick out a few products based on my skin type and concerns, and so far so good!

I was most excited to receive a new bottle of the Trilogy Rosehip Oil, Antioxidant +. I've used and loved Trilogy's traditional Rosehip Oil in the past and it's worked wonders on my skin, so I had nothing but high hopes for the Antioxidant + version! In all honesty, I can't tell a difference between this and the original, but it's still a product I love. I actually kinda forgot how much this does for my skin until I got it back! I apply just a few drops before bed, post cleanse, pre moisturiser, and the result is soft supple skin! I find this really helps breakouts heal fast, and stops them scarring, it even helps reduce scarring you already have. I really love this product so much, I can't see myself ever being without it again!

Along with the rosehip oil was a bonus gift (it was this set!), the Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Face Cream. I've been using this as my night cream and I'm really impressed. It's super thick and nourishing, but it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. This has definitely helped with my dry winter skin!

I found my perfect day eye cream a few weeks ago, but I was still on the hunt for the perfect one for the evening. I chose the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream, and whilst I'm not sure it's holy grail, I do really like it. It's creamy and rich, but again it doesn't feel heavy, and it's definitely helped my under-eyes feel smoother. As far as long term benefits go, it's hard to tell, but it claims to plump and boost the skin around the eyes. We shall see!

I also chose this opportunity to try out the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, which I've heard lots of good things about. It's been on my list to try for a long time so I was excited to put this to the test. I love the texture of this, it's incredibly rich and feels amazing on the skin, but it's really heavily fragranced, so you need to keep it away from eyes, slightly frustrating because it would do an amazing job at tackling waterproof mascara! The scent is quite overwhelming, very spa-like, so that's something to consider before splurging! I've been loving using this as a post-facemask cleanse, it leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and clean, without being stripped or tight. I'm not sure I'd repurchase this, but it's a nice luxurious treat.

And lastly, I was intrigued to give the Rituals Ayurveda Scrub a go, since I run out of scrubs faster than you can say scrub-a-dub-dub. I'm definitely in love with this one, it's a micro scrub, so it doesn't feel overly harsh or scratchy on the skin, more like a gentle polish. It's clay based so it's providing tons of nutrients for the skin, and since using this my skin has been so much softer!

A few loves and a few likes, but not bad overall! Skincare is such a subjective thing, it's hard to know whether you're going to love or loathe a product! I honestly thing the Trilogy Rosehip Oil would be a fantastic addition to everyone's skincare routine though!
