Changing my Mind

Sometimes, first impressions don't last, and after using a product for a while, your thoughts on them change completely. This happens to me a fair bit, so today I'm sharing a few products that I was wrong about.

I've had the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream for a while now, and when I first got it, I couldn't understand the hype, it was okay, but definitely not worth the hefty price tag. Now, however, I don't go a day without it, the iridescence really brightens up my undereyes and makes a massive difference to my morning makeup routine. It's not the most hydrating eye cream, but I can forgive it that, and reach for something thicker in the evenings.

When I first picked up the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara I was decidedly unimpressed. it was just a bit...meh. It didn't give much length, volume or lift, and I couldn't understand why so many people love it. I left it, and came back to it a month later, a totally different story. I think once it had dried out a little, it just got more effective. It's still not the best mascara out there, but it gives a nice long, doll-eyed effect. A nice option for everyday. A similar story with the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara, except this stuff becomes THE BOMB after a couple of weeks. Long, fluttery, volumised lashes, and the formula doesn't feel heavy and cakey on the lashes. Good stuff.

I bought the Rimmel Kate Moss 107 Lipstick because literally EVERYONE loves it, and when I first got it, I hated it. Now, I'm a bit more open to vampy lip shades, and every now and then I'll crack this one out and like it. It's never gonna be a daily staple, but it's a nice shade and when I'm in the mood for a bold lip, it's a good'un.

And lastly, a little mention to the Benefit Watts Up Highlighter. When I first got it, I hated it. I didn't like how heavy, and glittery this looked on, and how it emphasised my pores, and don't even get me started on the sponge end. Since then, I've figured out that if you take a little of the product on the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, and then use that to blend it along the cheekbones, it looks a lot more natural, and gives just a light glow to the skin. I love this in the Summer especially, it looks fab over cream blushes. Still hate the sponge. Some things don't change.

Have you got any products you changed your mind on?
