I don't know about you, but sometimes, I just have those days where by about midday I look like I died. I'm not sure what that's about, because 99% of the time my makeup holds up really well, but sometimes it just vanishes. Probably something to do with the rain, heat, humidity, long days and stress I guess. These are the bits that I keep on hand for perking up my face when it's started to look a little worse for wear.
For fixing foundation faux-pas, I carry the Maybelline The Eraser Concealer. This stuff layers really well over foundation and powder, it's good coverage & it's easy to apply with fingers. I try to carry a cream blush in a bright colour too, because I find a little of that tapped into the cheeks with fingers really perks up the complexion. My favourite one right now is the Jouer Cheek Tint in Peony. I find that adding a little black liner on the lash line and waterline can totally revive tired looking eye makeup. I've recently discovered the L'Oreal Super Liner Mat-Matic in Ultra Black, and it's possibly the best pencil liner I've tried from the drugstore. And lastly on the makeup front, I like to carry a tinted lip balm, that I can apply on the go sans mirror. My personal favourite is the Dior Lip Glow Balm, but the Maybelline Baby Lips are a good budget alternative.
By lunch time my fringe is normally looking really flat or really greasy, so I tend to have a mini dry shampoo to perk it up. I also am super prone to dry and frizzy hair, especially when it's really windy, so the Percy & Reed No Oil Oil is a really handy handbag essential, it smooths out flyaways and adds shine to the hair without making it feel greasy and oily.
Other little essentials are a Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer, gum and a mini bottle of DKNY Be Delicious Perfume, a really fresh scent that smells super clean.
I keep all of this in my Whistles clutch!
